| Within the framework of the program "Digital Transformation Festival for Youth" in 2024, the Organizing Committee held the Seminar "Digital Transformation - New Opportunities - New Future". |
On the morning of October 10, the Da Nang City Youth Union and the Department of Information and Communications of Da Nang City organized the "Digital Transformation Festival for Youth" in 2024. This is one of the activities in response to the National Digital Transformation Day on October 10. At the same time, through this Festival, we will raise awareness and create changes in the actions of union members, youth and people of the city about the importance of digital transformation to serve the socio -economic development of Da Nang City to become the leading city in the country in the cause of industrialization and modernization.
Speaking at the Program, Comrade Le Cong Hung - Deputy Secretary in charge of the Da Nang City Youth Union shared: “Currently, the Youth Union members are a dynamic, creative, sensitive force, mastering science and technology; are the vanguard, the main force, creating breakthroughs and new values in the national digital transformation. Promoting digital transformation as well as transferring the activities of the Youth Union to the digital environment; focusing on propaganda, career guidance, encouraging cadres and youth union members to actively participate in training, fostering skills, and information technology qualifications, especially in the field of semiconductor microchips and artificial intelligence; contributing to the process of developing high-quality young human resources, promoting Da Nang youth to become a pioneering force, leading in realizing the construction of a smart, modern city".
Previously, in his welcoming speech for the "Youth Digital Transformation Festival" in 2024, Mr. Le Son Phong, Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Da Nang City, said that the Department of Information and Communications has consulted and submitted to the City People's Committee for consideration of issuing a Digital Competency Framework for Citizens in Da Nang City. This Digital Competency Framework will help equip citizens with skills and attitudes to search for and process information, work in groups online, improve learning efficiency; equip them with skills to recognize and avoid online dangers such as fake news, scams, personal information infringement, etc.

“Through this Festival, I believe that the Youth Union members and young people will be active factors, proactively learning, equipping themselves with digital knowledge and capacity, and researching and deploying it widely in their units and schools” - Comrade Le Son Phong expressed and added: In the journey of implementing digital transformation, building a smart city that the Da Nang City Government is implementing, there are still many efforts to be made, especially raising awareness that “there is no concept of authorization in digital transformation”, “digital technology users have a decisive role”,… that responsibility, that shouldering has a very important role of the Youth Union organization and young people in digitalization, creating digital data; contributing ideas, ordering digital transformation, listening to the people to propose service applications according to the requirements of people and businesses; propagating and guiding people about digital transformation; especially young people must be the first “digital citizens” to spread to the community.
According to the representative of the Festival Organizing Committee, digital transformation is identified as the driving force in the city's development; an urgent, long-term, and central task throughout all activities of the City Youth Union. On that basis, this year's Festival program takes place with many exciting activities such as: Seminar "Digital transformation - New opportunities - New future", Exhibition "Digital transformation products in youth union members in 2024" with the participation of 20 integrated booths, applying technologies in the field of digital transformation, semiconductor microchips of universities, enterprises, youth union chapters and youth union members; Contest "Designing artificial intelligence for a livable Da Nang" with ideas, models, topics or creative products in digital transformation, applying information technology, artificial intelligence to serve work, study, daily life; Job and study fair in Semiconductor Microchips and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Specialization; Online test to learn about digital transformation knowledge…/.
