Meanwhile, Volgograd Region Governor Andrey Bocharov said Russian air defense forces repelled a UAV attack in the Marinovka area and "most of the drones were destroyed".
On Telegram , Mr. Bocharov emphasized that after one of these devices crashed, a fire broke out on the land of a facility belonging to the Ministry of Defense before being extinguished without casualties.
According to Kursk Governor Aleksei Smirnov, "two Ukrainian missiles and a drone were destroyed by Russian air defense forces."
Further south, in the Rostov region, Governor Vasily Golubev confirmed an attack using five UAVs had been “repulsed”.
Regarding the Russia-Ukraine conflict, on August 21, responding to RIA Novosti, US House Armed Services Committee member Michael Waltz said that Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has a strategy of urging Russia and Ukraine to sit at the negotiating table to end the war.
"He said he would tell the Ukrainian government that they need to come to the table or that's it. So I think he has a general strategy in mind to bring both sides to the table in a way that makes sense to have diplomatic negotiations to bring about a resolution to this conflict," Waltz said.
According to this Republican, the administration of US President Joe Biden and Kamala Harris has failed because of the lack of strategy for the Ukraine conflict.
