RT quoted the announcement of the Russian Investigative Committee on March 20 saying that this agency has just opened a criminal case against the International Criminal Court (ICC) prosecutor Karim Ahmad Khan, ICC judges Tomoko Akane, Rosario Salvatore Aitala and Sergio Gerardo Ugalde Godinez Godinez.
"The Russian Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court Karim Ahmad Khan, judges Tomoko Akane, Rosario Salvatore Aitala and Sergio Gerardo Ugalde Godinez Godinez," the Russian Investigative Committee said in a statement.

According to the Russian Investigative Committee, ICC officials' arrest warrants against Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russian Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights Maria Lvova-Belov were illegal, as there were no grounds for criminal prosecution.
ICC Prosecutor Khan on February 22 submitted to ICC judges an arrest warrant for President Putin and Maria Lvova-Belova on charges of "illegal transfer" of Ukrainian children to Russia.
The head of the Constitutional Committee of the Federation Council of Russia, Andrei Klishas, said the order had no legal basis.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that "from a legal point of view, the ICC's decisions make no sense because Russia is not a party to the Rome Statute of the ICC and has no obligations in relation to it."
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov also noted that the ICC is not recognized in Russia, meaning the arrest warrant is "invalid from a legal point of view."
On the same day, in a statement on Telegram, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said that the ICC's ruling on issuing an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin would have serious consequences for international law.
Mr Medvedev said that ICC judges should not rule against a nuclear power.
