After 2 days of exciting competition (November 2-3), the 2024 National Youth Figure Skating Championship held at the Royal City Ice Rink ( Hanoi ) was successful with many good results. The Organizing Committee awarded 28 sets of medals to athletes with high achievements competing in two categories: speed skating and figure skating.
The tournament has the participation of nearly 100 athletes from the provinces and cities: Hanoi, Hai Phong , Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Quang Ninh, Ho Chi Minh City and some athletes living and studying abroad coming back to Vietnam to compete.
Athlete Ly Phuong Anh (Hanoi delegation) transformed into a black swan in her figure skating performance. Phuong Anh's performance brought home a silver medal in the Junior Woman category.

Linh Chi has 10 years of experience in figure skating, and has participated in national and international tournaments for the Vietnamese team in the men’s and women’s doubles. This is also the first year she has competed solo.
At the end of the competition, Linh Chi performed a very sexy and seductive long slide on the ice. In this competition, Nguyen Linh Chi excellently won the gold medal.
Competing in the Novice men's and women's category, athlete Pham Hoai Anh transformed into a funny clown, skating and joking on stage.
The performance of the beautiful young talent, only 15 years old, from Hanoi brought her a bronze medal in the Novice men's and women's category (semi-professional, new to competition).
The best and most beautiful performance in the 2 days of competition for hundreds of spectators watching at the Royal City ice rink belonged to athlete Nguyen Cao Ha Mi from Ho Chi Minh City.
Competing in the Junior Woman category and winning gold medal, Ha Mi demonstrated her skillful skating ability with many difficult techniques at high speed.

Then landed gently, gracefully and beautifully in the endless applause of the audience watching live at the ice rink.
With Vietnamese and Japanese blood, Nguyen Cao Ha Mi (also known as Haruka) is playing for the Vietnamese national team and is receiving focused investment to compete in international figure skating championships in the region such as Southeast Asia and Asia.

The competitions for children (primary and secondary school) were also very exciting and attractive, with the youngest athlete only 3 years old. These are the young buds of the Vietnamese figure skating team in the next few years.
The lovely and funny performance of the youngest contestant of the tournament received continuous applause and encouragement from the audience.
In the speed skating category, the Organizing Committee also awarded 20 sets of medals to athletes with excellent achievements in competitions from 500m to 1,500m divided by age groups.
The Vietnam Figure Skating and Roller Skating Federation has introduced many competitions with many age groups including young and youth, which has helped attract a large number of athletes to participate, increase competition and contribute to improving the quality of the tournament.
Mr. Pham Xuan Tai - Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee - said that in order for figure skating to develop further and have more excellent athletes, there needs to be strategies to attract businesses to invest in developing more ice rinks in provinces and cities across the country. Along with that, there is a mechanism to encourage more young people to come to this sport as well as organize tournaments at many different levels such as club level, provincial level, city level, and national level.
