State Bank donates 7 billion VND to Quang Tri province for social security work

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), on the morning of July 26, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) organized a social security donation program for Quang Tri province. Attending the program were Central Party Committee member, Governor of the SBV Nguyen Thi Hong. Attending the program on the side of Quang Tri province were Alternate Central Party Committee member, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Long Hai; Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Dao Manh Hung; Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Hoang Duc Thang; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Duc Tien.

On this occasion, the State Bank of Vietnam presented Quang Tri province with a budget of 7 billion VND to carry out social security activities, of which 4 billion VND was allocated to implement the program of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses.

Speaking at the program, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Hong said that as usual every year, on the occasion of July, all officials, civil servants and employees of the State Bank of Vietnam will contribute one day's salary to carry out "Repaying gratitude" and social security activities at "red addresses" across the country, including Quang Tri province.

Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Hong hopes that the contributions and sharing of the collective of cadres, civil servants and public employees of the State Bank of Vietnam will join hands with Quang Tri province to better care for policy families and effectively implement the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the area.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Long Hai respectfully thanked the sentiments and hearts of Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Hong and all officials, civil servants and employees of the State Bank of Vietnam for supporting funding for Quang Tri province to carry out social security work and "Repaying gratitude" in the area.

Over the past years, Quang Tri province (old) has received much help and support from the State Bank of Vietnam and has effectively implemented social security work in the area. This year marks the first time that Quang Tri province has received continued support from the State Bank of Vietnam. Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Long Hai requested the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and related organizations and units to receive and use resources to effectively and practically eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households, families with housing difficulties and other social security work.
