PGBank appoints new general director

Ms. Dinh Thi Huyen Thanh graduated with a PhD in Banking and Finance from Maastricht University (Netherlands) and has more than 17 years of experience in the field of finance and banking.

During her career, she has held important positions at RaboBank in the Netherlands and the US, as well as at Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank. In July 2023, Ms. Huyen Thanh joined PGBank as Director of Human Resources Management and Development. In August 2023, Ms. Huyen Thanh officially held the position of Permanent Deputy General Director, concurrently Director of Human Resources Management and Development. On October 23, 2023, PGBank's Board of Directors approved the appointment of Ms. Thanh as a member of the Board of Directors for the 2020-2025 term, holding the position of Acting General Director of the bank.

Based on the approval of the State Bank of Vietnam in Official Dispatch No. 8848/NHNN-TTGSNH dated November 15, 2023, the Board of Directors of PGBank issued Resolution No. 139/2023/NQ-HDQT on appointing Ms. Dinh Thi Huyen Thanh to the position of Member of the Board of Directors and General Director of PGBank from November 17, 2023.

Mr. Pham Manh Thang - Chairman of the Board of Directors of PGBank said: "After a short time in the position of Acting General Director, Ms. Dinh Thi Huyen Thanh has demonstrated her outstanding capacity and pioneering ability, leading the bank to implement many innovative initiatives, creating a strong breakthrough momentum in the coming time. I believe that, with her extensive experience in the field of finance and international banking management, especially with her passion for contributing to the successful development of a Vietnamese enterprise to reach international standards, Ms. Dinh Thi Huyen Thanh will lead PGBank to successfully complete the bank's strategic goals, thereby bringing the highest benefits to customers, employees and shareholders".
