Welcoming the Central Steering Committee on anti-corruption and negativity for adding the connotation of "waste"

In the draft Report synthesizing opinions and recommendations of voters and people sent to the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly , presented to the Standing Committee of the National Assembly at the 44th Session, it is shown that voters and people highly appreciate and welcome the Party and State leaders, headed by General Secretary To Lam, to continue to promote the fight against corruption, waste and negativity. Many cases have been investigated and clarified, many officials have been strictly but also very humanely handled, with no forbidden areas, no exceptions, regardless of who the violator is.

Voters and people welcome the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption and negativity for adding the content of "preventing and combating waste" to the functions and tasks of the Steering Committee. The results of the fight against corruption, waste and negativity in recent times have contributed to consolidating and strengthening the people's trust in the Party and the State.

Voters and people especially appreciate the policy of organizing the National Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, with many rich, exciting, diverse and meaningful activities, to review historical traditions, express gratitude for the contributions of generals, officers and soldiers of the armed forces; youth volunteers, militia and guerrillas, families with meritorious services to the country; and the contributions of all classes of people to the cause of national liberation, creating an enthusiastic and exciting atmosphere throughout the country. At the same time, encourage the entire Party, the entire people and the entire army to continue promoting the tradition of heroism, resilience, great national unity, mobilizing all resources to build a peaceful , unified, independent, democratic and prosperous Vietnam as the will of beloved Uncle Ho.

Based on the opinions and recommendations of voters and the people, the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front recommends to the Party and the State to study and launch the campaign "The whole country joins hands to practice thrift and fight waste" to permeate every agency, unit, cadre, party member, and family. Thereby, allocating resources for investment in national development and solving social security issues. At the same time, directing competent agencies to study and launch a number of large-scale, nationwide, comprehensive, patriotic emulation campaigns and movements to promote all resources, calling on all people in the country and overseas Vietnamese to contribute to building and defending the Fatherland in the era of national development.

Basically agreeing with the draft report, however, Permanent Deputy Head of the Committee for People's Aspirations and Supervision Le Thi Nga noted that when the National Assembly deputies met with voters, many voters reported that every few days there was a fire causing human damage, so the report needs to emphasize the fact that the fire and explosion situation in the past has still been serious. At the same time, it is suggested to supplement the situation of child abuse in private kindergartens that has not decreased, "occasionally only one case is discovered, but in reality there are probably many more", the Permanent Deputy Head of the Committee stated. In addition, according to the Permanent Deputy Head of the Committee for People's Aspirations and Supervision, the traffic accident situation is still serious, causing human and property damage; the situation of food safety violations, such as the discovery of tons of bean sprouts containing banned substances... should be supplemented in the draft report.

The new and important point to emphasize in this draft report, according to Chairman of the Delegation Work Committee Nguyen Thanh Hai, is that the police force has quickly intervened to protect the people's immediate interests. Typical examples are the cases of fake milk and fake medicine reported on news agencies and newspapers recently. The Chairman of the Delegation Work Committee suggested that the police force will promote its achievements, continue to detect new and sophisticated tricks of counterfeit products and goods that do not ensure quality, affecting people's health in order to provide early warnings.

In his concluding remarks, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong suggested that the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front emphasize the issues of fire and explosion, child abuse, traffic accidents that are still serious, and the situation of counterfeit and poor quality goods. The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly noted that it is necessary to add more content, voters and people are very excited about the participation of the police force in solving complicated cases, providing information and early warnings for people to avoid. At the same time, it is necessary to learn from experience in state management in these areas, especially the situation of counterfeit and fake goods production.
