It all started with Bologna's 1-0 win over Venezia last weekend in the Italian Championship (Serie A). In this match, 26-year-old striker Jens Odgaard started and played the full 90 minutes for Bologna.

But what is remarkable is that the TV camera caught a very strange red mark on Jens Odgaard's neck, it looked like a bite mark.

The images have since gone viral on social media, sparking speculation. Many are concerned that Jens Odgaard may have encountered a "zombie." One confused fan wrote on X: "What is that? A zombie bite?"

Another commented: "Did he just scratch his neck?" A third added: "Is that a tattoo or a shark bite on the back of Jens Odgaard's neck? Did he just encounter a zombie and get bitten?"

As the rumors continued to spread, Odgaard had to clarify the origin of this sign on social media. He wrote on Instagram: "It's just medicine I take for my neck, nothing serious."

Many fans were relieved to hear this. One wrote: "Good to know. You've had us worried for a while. There are some crazy theories floating around on social media."

Odgaard has had a great season playing as a centre-forward for Bologna, scoring six goals in 25 Serie A games, including two in his last three games.
