Accordingly, the decree clearly stipulates two groups of beneficiaries of support: Production establishments (including livestock households, cooperatives, enterprises, farms, etc.) when forced to destroy livestock and animal products due to epidemics and those directly participating in epidemic prevention activities such as destruction, disinfection spraying, sampling, checkpoint duty, and epidemic monitoring.
Specifically, livestock farms that are forced to destroy livestock due to disease will receive partial State support for their losses, calculated based on the actual volume destroyed. Of which, buffalo, cows, horses, goats, and ostriches will receive support of VND50,000/kg of live weight, pigs VND40,000/kg, poultry VND35,000/kg, and poultry eggs VND20,000/kg. For special livestock such as sheep and sika deer, the support level is VND55,000/kg. In addition, the decree also adds support policies for the aquaculture sector - which is currently facing many risks of disease in coastal farming areas. Specifically, lobster seeds will receive support of VND10,000/head; fish seeds such as pangasius and tilapia will receive support of VND10,000/kg; and industrial shrimp seeds will receive support of VND10 million/million heads.
Those who directly participate in the fight against the epidemic and do not receive salaries from the state budget will receive support of 400,000 VND/working day and 500,000 VND/holiday. For those who receive salaries from the state budget, the support level is 150,000-300,000 VND/day.
This Decree is considered a new step forward in perfecting the legal framework, creating more favorable conditions for people, businesses and specialized forces to participate in preventing and overcoming the consequences of epidemics in livestock.
