This is a dress rehearsal to prepare for the official flight demonstration at the upcoming Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024.

The training session on the morning of December 14 also had the participation of the Mi helicopter unit. 7 Mi helicopters took off from Hoa Lac Airport (Hanoi), divided into two teams, 3 helicopters flying first and 4 helicopters flying next.

The helicopter squadron flew at low altitude, carrying the national flag, practicing the performance plan.

People in the capital stood on the dike near Gia Lam airport to watch the aerobatic planes.

Although the weather was cold, it did not discourage people from watching the air show.

Mr. Dao Van Thang (Van Giang district, Hung Yen ) said that despite the cold weather, he still tried to travel nearly 20 kilometers from Hung Yen to Gia Lam airport (Hanoi) to watch the air show. “When I heard the news that the most modern aircraft of the Vietnam Air Force and People's Army were performing at Gia Lam airport, I got up at 6am and quickly went to the airport to admire the fighter jets performing. I was very surprised to see the impressive flights performed by the pilots of the Vietnam Air Force and People's Army. On the upcoming opening day, I will definitely go and bring my family to watch,” said Mr. Thang.

Children are prepared with warm clothes by their parents when going to see the planes.

Mr. Ngo Minh Thang (Long Bien, Hanoi) shared: “Today is the weekend off, I took my son to see the Vietnam Air Force's aircraft performance. Although it was cold, when watching the acrobatic performances of the aircraft, the father and son did not feel cold at all. I am also very lucky because today is the first time I have seen an aircraft dropping heat traps in the sky.”

Many families also brought food and spread mats on the dike to watch the plane show.

The Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024 takes place from December 19 to 22 at Gia Lam Airport, with public visits from 1:00 p.m. on December 21 to the end of December 22.
