Last June, Mr. Vu Dinh Nhuong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tuan Linh Agricultural Products Production and Trading Joint Stock Company in Tran Phu Commune, was excited to receive a support fund of 250 million VND from the industrial promotion project to invest in product packaging machines. From a business household, in 2022, Tuan Linh Agricultural Products Production and Trading Joint Stock Company was established with main products being crispy fried flour, fried breadcrumbs and some spices such as onions, garlic, and chili.
Mr. Vu Dinh Nhuong said: “The packaging machine was invested with a total cost of about 700 million VND. Previously, when this machine was not available, at peak times, the company had to hire additional seasonal workers. Many times, businesses had to refuse orders because they were worried about not being able to ensure progress. Currently, applying automation to production, efficiency has increased significantly. This machine can pack 8 - 10 tons of products within 8 hours, while using manual labor, each hour, 7 - 8 workers, workers only pack 2 - 3 quintals of products".
Thanks to the financial support from the industrial promotion program, many businesses have boldly innovated and invested in production equipment. Binh An Pressure Casting Joint Stock Company in Yet Kieu Commune specializes in manufacturing plastic molded products and processing footwear accessories. On average, the company supplies thousands of products to the market each month. The company has just invested in 2 injection molding machines to produce plastic products. Through the local industrial promotion project, the company received support of 250 million VND. Mr. Vu Duc Binh, Director of Binh An Pressure Casting Joint Stock Company said: "This support is a great source of motivation for businesses in the production and business process."

The Center for Industrial Promotion and Industrial Development Consulting (Department of Industry and Trade) is implementing the national industrial promotion project "Supporting the application of advanced machinery and equipment in the production of biodegradable plastic bags", with a total implementation budget of more than 736 million VND for Hai Ha Packaging Joint Stock Company in Tien Lang commune. Of which, the national industrial promotion budget supports 300 million VND, the rest is the counterpart fund of the facility. This is a device that uses advanced technology in the plastics manufacturing industry, compatible with the product lines manufactured by the company. Thereby, businesses save costs, proactively plan production, ensure delivery progress, increase productivity, reduce manual labor, and meet the increasing demand of the market.
Implementing the Local Industrial Promotion Project in 2025, in the first 6 months of 2025, the Hai Duong Provincial Industrial Promotion and Industrial Development Consulting Center (old) deployed and completed 12 local industrial promotion projects to support 12 establishments with a total budget of nearly 3 billion VND. At the same time, the center deployed 1 national industrial promotion project to support 3 rural industrial establishments with a total budget of more than 1 billion VND.
From now until the end of the year, the center will continue to review the West Hai Phong area, grasp the operational situation and support needs of rural industrial establishments, select local industrial promotion projects for the second phase of 2025 to submit to competent authorities for approval. In the East Hai Phong area, it is expected to deploy 9 projects registered for local industrial promotion plans in 2025.
In addition, the Center for Industrial Promotion and Industrial Development Consulting connects units participating in domestic industrial and trade fairs to promote and introduce products to promote trade, connect, find product consumption markets, help businesses and establishments have the right investment direction, expand production and business, and develop sustainably.
On July 25, the Hai Phong City People's Council issued a Resolution regulating the content and level of expenditure for industrial promotion activities in the city. This is also the basis for the Industrial Promotion and Industrial Development Consulting Center to develop a plan and estimate for implementation.
According to Mr. Nguyen Quoc Viet, Deputy Director of the Center for Industrial Promotion and Industrial Development Consulting (Department of Industry and Trade), national and local industrial promotion programs help support part of the funding for rural industrial establishments, including small and medium enterprises. Thereby, enterprises and production establishments have the conditions to invest in advanced machinery and equipment and improve productivity, product quality, increase competitiveness, and bring higher economic efficiency.
To make industrial promotion more and more effective, the center will continue to promote and implement industrial promotion projects in the direction of practical, focused and key support; support industries and products with development potential and prospects; regularly grasp and survey the actual needs of businesses, to propose timely solutions to difficulties.
The industrial promotion program clearly demonstrates the practical role of supporting small and medium enterprises in developing the local economy. For the program to be more effective, it requires synchronous coordination from the State, enterprises and related organizations. At that time, industrial promotion is not only a temporary support, but also a foundation to promote small and medium enterprises to grow strongly.
