Comrade Nguyen Minh Quang, born on October 15, 1953, hometown: Duc Linh commune, Vu Quang district, Ha Tinh province, member of the Party Central Committee, 10th and 11th terms; Former Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, Former Secretary of Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee, Former Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee, Former Secretary of the Party Committee of Central Agencies, Former Permanent Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development , passed away at 11:00 a.m. on February 12, 2025 (ie January 15, At Ty year), at the age of 73.
As a member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Comrade Nguyen Minh Quang always has a steadfast stance, strong political ideology and mettle, actively researching and exploring through practice to participate in supplementing and perfecting the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and policies. He proposed that the Government Party Committee submit to the Central Committee policies and solutions to strengthen the leadership and direction of the Party and the State in the management of Natural Resources and Environment and other related fields; actively directed the Party Committee of the Ministry, the Party Committee of the Ministry and the entire sector to effectively organize and implement the Platform, Charter, regulations and resolutions of the Party, policies and laws of the State.
As Minister, head of the field of Natural Resources and Environment, this is a multi-sectoral, multi-field Ministry with many difficult and complicated fields such as land, environment, minerals, hydrometeorology, many fields that are quite new such as climate change, implementing the motto that only action can create positive changes, comrade Nguyen Minh Quang and the collective leadership of the Ministry focused on directing and operating all aspects of the Ministry's state management work, closely following the movement of reality, attaching importance to forecasting and updating information to have timely and appropriate solutions to take advantage of advantages, overcome difficulties and problems that arise.
Based on the practical requirements to continue perfecting institutions and policies to meet the country's socio-economic development requirements and better serve the people's needs, he regularly coordinates closely with the agencies of the Party, the National Assembly, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Central agencies of people's organizations; fully performs tasks according to relevant regulations and rules; proactively dialogues, responds to and resolves recommendations of the Nationalities Council and Committees of the National Assembly, questions from National Assembly deputies, recommendations from voters, recommendations from the Fatherland Front and people's organizations on issues related to the field of Natural Resources and Environment. He always sympathizes, shares, and cares about the people's concerns, and pays attention to directing the handling of pressing issues of the people related to the industry.
In management work, he has well implemented the principle of democratic centralism, gathered the team, maintained internal solidarity; strengthened discipline and order to well perform the functions, tasks and set goals. He himself always practices, cultivates and maintains the moral qualities of a party member; is modest, studies, and listens to the advice of subordinates to achieve effectiveness in direction and management.
Comrade Nguyen Minh Quang, with 45 years of Party membership, has made many contributions to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation; was awarded the Second Class Independence Medal, First Class Labor Medal and many other noble titles and awards by the Party and State.
