Nguyen Thi Oanh: I am not satisfied with the 3 gold medals at the SEA Games.

Despite winning three gold medals for the Vietnamese athletics team, including a record, Nguyen Thi Oanh said she still hasn't achieved her best performance at the SEA Games 33.

As expected, in the 3,000m steeplechase event, Nguyen Thi Oanh continued to be unopposed.

She pulled ahead of her competitors by a wide margin.

The movements of "Vietnam's golden girl" are very precise.

Nguyen Thi Oanh was alone on the track before crossing the finish line first with a time of 10 minutes 13 seconds 75.

This is her third gold medal at the 33rd SEA Games and her 15th individual gold medal, extending her record at the SEA Games and surpassing her senior teammate Nguyen Thi Huyen by two gold medals.

"Like everyone else, when I set a goal, I worked hard in training and competition. And today's gold medal is the sweet fruit of that long process of effort," Nguyen Thi Oanh shared.

"My performance in the 3,000m steeplechase wasn't my best, so I'm only moderately satisfied with my results at this SEA Games because I've fulfilled my mission," Oanh said.

"I'm working harder to break my personal best. After this, I'll rest to recover and be in the best physical condition for my next goals," the SEA Games champion said.

"I want to thank my teammates, coaches, and fans who have always supported me. This gold medal is not just for me personally, but for everyone," Oanh affirmed.

Nguyen Thi Oanh is "unbeatable" in the regional arena.

She will continue to contribute many achievements to Vietnamese sports in the years to come.
