Rap Viet producer quietly cuts sensitive words without explanation

Episode 2 of Rap Viet season 3 is receiving mixed opinions from the audience. Most notably, the show allowed a performance with many sensitive words by Khuong Le - rap name Dubbie - to air.

The rap talks about Khuong Le's lifestyle with sentences that evoke many bad associations such as: "You guys are going crazy again, you have to be good to get more stuff". Because the word "stuff" is used by young people as slang to refer to stimulants.

Even more sensitive in this rap are 2 lines mentioning the name of a famous historical figure. The fact that Khuong Le just mentioned the wrong historical figure's name and attached it to an inappropriate rap has sparked controversy in the online community.

It is believed that Rap Viet is too weak in the censorship process, which is why this situation happened. What's more, the owner of the rap was chosen to continue to the next round even though the coaches all agreed that his strength was "appearance" and not his ability.

VTC News reporters immediately contacted the producer of Rap Viet to learn about the incident but have yet to receive a response.

By the morning of June 4, on the program's online platforms, the sensitive rap segment mentioning the name of a famous historical figure had been cut.

In addition to the weakness in content censorship, Rap Viet season 3 also made many people angry and question the authenticity of the votes from the studio audience.

Although contestant Alen's performance received many positive reviews from the audience watching the show, at the studio he only received 48% of the votes. With this number of votes, Alen had to sadly leave.
