Nha Trang proposes to build a 390 billion VND steel overpass in the center to reduce traffic congestion

The Nha Trang City government ( Khanh Hoa province) has proposed a plan to build a steel overpass worth 390 billion VND at the Ma Vong intersection, an area that often experiences traffic conflicts due to its proximity to the station, to reduce congestion.

Nha Trang City People's Committee has just reported to Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee to propose an investment plan to build a steel overpass at Ma Vong roundabout intersection to reduce traffic congestion.

With the above proposal, at Ma Vong roundabout, a two-way bridge will be built to cross the railway for routes from Thai Nguyen , Thong Nhat, Yersin streets to turn left to Le Hong Phong street and vice versa. Traffic will be organized here under the roundabout, renovating the current roundabout.

On Le Hong Phong Street, there is an internal road system for vehicles to access the bridge and enter residential areas.

The total investment of the project is about 390 billion VND. Vehicles passing through the bridge area have a speed of 20 km/h on the bridge and 40 km/h on the road leading to the intersection, and 30 km/h on the service road under the bridge.

After completion, vehicles traveling on 23/10, Le Hong Phong, Thai Nguyen, Thong Nhat, and Yersin streets that want to cross the railway must use the overpass.

Ma Vong intersection is located near Nha Trang station in the city center, is the intersection of major routes such as Thai Nguyen, Thong Nhat, Yersin, Le Hong Phong and has a railway crossing, so the traffic density is very high, especially during rush hour. This area is often congested.

The above project was put into operation to solve traffic congestion and conflicts, and limit the impact of railways on road traffic.

The current status of BT projects in Nha Trang related to the recently arrested Chairman of Phuc Son Group Phuc Son Group, with Mr. Nguyen Van Hau as Chairman of the Board of Directors, was assigned by the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province to carry out 3 BT (Build - Transfer) projects. The investigation police agency is asking Khanh Hoa to provide documents on Phuc Son's projects.
