The announcement ceremony of the final round of the 9th National Press Cup Football Tournament - 2025 took place on the afternoon of May 19 in Hanoi. Following the success of the previous 8 seasons, the tournament was organized by Vietnam Family Magazine in collaboration with the Press Department (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) under the direction of the Vietnam Journalists Association .

The tournament is a major sporting event of the country's press, celebrating the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025), towards celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

Journalist Ho Minh Chien - Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Family Magazine, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Press Cup 2025 said that after 8 successful seasons, the Press Cup has become an emotional sports meeting place, a place that connects journalists not only with their pens, but also with their love for the round ball.

The Press Cup 2025 Finals will take place from June 5-7 in Tu Son city ( Bac Ninh ) with the participation of the 8 best teams selected from the preliminary round.

For the first time, the tournament opened up exchange activities with colleagues in the Southeast Asian region.

Immediately after the tournament ends, the 2025 Press Cup champion will play the Super Cup match with the Thai press representative team at My Dinh Stadium on June 10.
