On December 5, 1945, Truth Publishing House - the predecessor of the Truth National Political Publishing House, was officially established. After 80 years of construction and development, promoting its role as the theoretical and political publishing agency of the Central Party, the Publishing House has always strived to excellently fulfill its assigned tasks, maintaining its role as the leading flag in publishing theoretical and political books; propagating and protecting the Party's ideological foundation; spreading theoretical and political knowledge throughout society.
Over the past 80 years, the Publishing House has edited and published many important, valuable, and timely publications serving political tasks, many of which have profound theoretical and practical significance, while constantly innovating the content and methods of publishing, promoting the application of technology, improving the quality of theoretical and political books, contributing to improving the leadership and governing capacity of the Party, building a clean and strong political system, and improving the level and political awareness of cadres, party members, and the people.
In his congratulatory letter on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the National Political Publishing House's tradition day, General Secretary To Lam assessed: "The National Political Publishing House has affirmed and promoted its worthy role as the theoretical and political publishing agency of the Party and State.
The series of books published by the Publishing House have made an important contribution to the cause of national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland, serving the cause of comprehensive national renewal. Many publications have profound theoretical and practical significance, contributing to improving the Party's leadership and governing capacity, building a clean and strong political system, fostering political ideology for cadres, party members and the people, effectively serving foreign information work, introducing the image of a peaceful, innovative, integrated and developing Vietnam.
General Secretary To Lam affirmed that these results are vivid evidence of the sense of responsibility, loyalty to the Fatherland, the Party, the people and revolutionary ideals; at the same time, they are the inheritance and promotion of the precious tradition of the theoretical and political publishing agency with an important position and role in the political and spiritual life of society.
The General Secretary expressed his belief that, entering a new era of development - the era of national growth, with the glorious tradition of 80 years of construction and development, the Publishing House will continue to promote the spirit of solidarity to strongly innovate the management model and publishing activities in a professional, humane, modern direction, well adapted to the market mechanism and the tastes of readers in the new era; proactively update new publishing trends in the world; actively apply technology in publishing activities, especially the development of publishing types on digital platforms; diversify forms of propaganda, widely introduce theoretical, political, legal publications... to improve the level and political awareness, foster revolutionary ideals for cadres, party members and people.
Reading the commemorative speech, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Trong Lam, Member of the Party Executive Committee of the Central Party agencies, Party Secretary, Director - Editor-in-Chief of the National Political Publishing House, Truth, reviewed the glorious tradition of the Publishing House.
He emphasized that over the past 80 years, the Truth National Political Publishing House has not only made its mark in the history of Vietnam's revolutionary publishing, but has also become an inseparable part of the ideological history of the Party and the nation, making an important contribution to forming the ideological and theoretical foundation, shaping the system of spiritual values and strengthening social trust in the path of national development that the Party, Uncle Ho and our people have chosen.
Speaking at the ceremony, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man affirmed that after 80 years of construction and development, the Truth National Political Publishing House has increasingly developed, deserving to be a trusted address, a core theoretical and political book publishing agency of the Party and State; absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the people; united, creative, constantly innovating, and successfully completing all assigned tasks.
The publishing house always affirms its pioneering role on the ideological-theoretical front, contributing to protecting the Party's ideological foundation.
Through the Publishing House's publications, forums, seminars, scientific discussions and propaganda activities, the Publishing House has proactively oriented public opinion, protected the correctness, revolution and science of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's thought, fought to defeat plots to distort, deny the leadership role of the Party, and sabotage the great national unity bloc.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, comrade Tran Thanh Man acknowledged, commended and congratulated the great efforts and achievements that generations of cadres, civil servants and workers of the Truth National Political Publishing House have achieved over the past 80 years, demonstrated through the noble awards bestowed by the Party and State. Regarding the tasks of the Publishing House in the coming time, the National Assembly Chairman pointed out a number of major orientations:
Firstly, continue to strongly innovate the work of editing, publishing and distributing theoretical and political books, ensuring standards, science, modernity and wide and profound dissemination of theory, but at the same time, must be close and easy to accept for readers.
Second, promote and improve scientific research. It is necessary to identify this as a strategic pillar along with editing and publishing. Research must be closely linked to summarizing practice, because practice is posing many new and complex theoretical issues, requiring timely, convincing and scientifically based solutions. The publications of the Publishing House must contribute directly to the development of the Party's theory, building a sustainable ideological foundation for our country in the coming period.
Third, build the Publishing House into a model of Party building and Party culture. Cadres, Party members, and workers of the Publishing House must have the courage and spirit of service; be steadfast and exemplary in thought, word, and action; and must know how to put the interests of the Party, the State, and the people first and foremost. Each page of a book must be an “ideological fence”, each work must be a “theoretical fortress”, convincing with knowledge, science, reason, and truth.
Fourth, promote comprehensive digital transformation, using digital transformation as a driving force to create strong development. Gradually digitize, expand the space for knowledge reception to cadres, party members and people; apply new technology, artificial intelligence, big data to the editing - publishing - archiving - dissemination process. Develop multimedia publishing; build digital libraries, electronic bookcases for unified use throughout the Party, the entire political system and society.
Fifth, continue to pay attention to promoting the intelligence and practical experience of the staff, party members and employees of the Publishing House; have policies and mechanisms, take practical care of the staff's lives and improve the Publishing House's facilities. The leadership and Party Committee of the Publishing House must be exemplary and create motivation, spirit, solidarity and aspiration to rise up to lead the publishing houses and the publishing system to operate better and better.
Emphasizing that 80 years is a glorious journey and also the starting point for a new journey, in the context of the country entering a new era of development, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man expressed his belief that the collective leadership, cadres, party members and employees of the Publishing House will continue to promote the tradition of solidarity, innovation, creativity, dedication, and excellently complete all assigned tasks, actively contributing to the work of Party building, to the cause of building and firmly protecting the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.
At the ceremony, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man awarded the First Class Labor Medal to the Truth National Political Publishing House.
