Dutch beauty wins crown in Miss International Queen 2023 contest

Surpassing 21 contestants, Dutch representative Solange Dekker became Miss International Queen 2023, the first and second runners-up were Singapore and the United States, respectively. The remaining 10 beauties announced were: Philippines, United States, Venezuela, Netherlands, Singapore, Spain, Colombia, China, Mexico and Thailand.

The new beauty queen is 27 years old and 1.85 m tall. Solange Dekker is currently a model and presenter. Previously, she represented the city of Solange and was in the top 10 of Miss Universe Netherlands 2022 with the Media Beauty sub-award.

Although stopping in the top 11, Vietnamese transgender beauty Nguyen Ha Dieu Thao was named the winner of the National Costume award and the Most Favorite Beauty award.

Previously, in the semi-final night, the 23-year-old beauty won the Wonder Woman award and was the contestant who received the most interactions in the interview posted on the Tik Tok page of Miss International Queen 2023.

"The issue I think iseducating the young generation, because the children of today are the future leaders of the world. When they are educated, they will know what the LGBTQ+ community is, then we will receive more respect, fairness and support. They will know that we are just like everyone else and the LGBTQ+ community will always stand together to show the world who we are, what we can do" - Dieu Thao answered in the interview.

Nguyen Ha Dieu Thao was born in 2000, from Hai Duong, has a body advantage with a height of 1m83. She graduated from high school at Binh An High School and passed the entrance exam to Dong Nai University of Technology.

Due to her family’s difficult circumstances, she stopped studying to earn a living. Dieu Thao said she used to work as a factory worker, waitress, saleswoman, etc. Currently, she lives with her family in Binh Duong and is studying tourism at a college.

In 2018, Dieu Thao began her gender change process. In 2022, she registered for the Miss Beauty Queen contest and won.
