Worthy of being a good child, good student
Near the end of May, we visited the house of Tran Phuc Ngoc Thuy Duong (class 9/1, Hung Vuong Secondary School, Cam Lam District). As soon as we reached the gate, we saw the silhouette of a petite female student attentively teaching her younger brother inside the house. Still wearing her school uniform, Duong politely greeted us and said: "I just went to review my lessons to prepare for the upcoming high school entrance exam. When I got home, I saw my younger brother studying so I showed him to me."

At home, Thuy Duong helps her parents cook and clean the house in her free time; she is an older sister who always cares for, looks after, and guides her younger brother, who is in grade 5, in his studies. When at school, Thuy Duong is an active team leader, a good student, and an excellent student with many outstanding achievements such as: Being an excellent student for many consecutive years; winning second prize in Literature at the district and provincial excellent student competitions in the 2024-2025 school year. Recently, she also achieved the title of Uncle Ho's Good Child nationwide in 2025.
Sharing with us, Duong said that she especially loves Literature and subjects in the field of social sciences and humanities. Through that, she discovers the beauty of the country and the national culture. With that passion, despite being busy with school, she still regularly participates in the activities of the team. From the contest "Smoke-free school" to "Propaganda for young people", she has participated in the role of organizer or performer of skits. Thuy Duong has participated and won high prizes in contests to learn about cultural heritage, children's painting... For her, each contest is not only an opportunity to express herself but also an opportunity to spread her love for her homeland and country. From the experience of team activities, she has also learned how to work effectively in groups, improve her presentation skills...
Talking about her dream, Thuy Duong wants to become a tour guide in the future to introduce to domestic and international friends the beautiful natural landscapes and cultural beauty of our nation. "To realize my dream, I try to remember and accumulate knowledge that can be applied in the future" - Thuy Duong shared.
Arrange study time and extracurricular activities reasonably
Tran Mai Phuong Nghi (grade 9/1 student, Le Hong Phong Secondary School, Cam Ranh City) is a familiar name in the team movement of Cam Ranh City. When meeting Nghi, it is easy to see that she is mature and steady. As the school's team leader, she has represented the school and the city many times to participate in provincial and national activities. The most memorable thing for Phuong Nghi is that she is one of the four outstanding children of the province to attend the 2024 Children's National Assembly mock session in Hanoi .

Phuong Nghi spends most of her time studying at school and self-studying. However, for many years in a row at junior high school, she has been an excellent student. With her strong subject being English, she won third prize in the city and provincial competitions for excellent students in the 2024-2025 school year; she is a familiar face in city and provincial English speaking competitions.
As a team leader, Phuong Nghi tries to balance her study time so as not to miss out on movement activities. She shared that the most memorable moment in her team's activities was when the team organized the charity program "Helping children go to school" in the mountainous areas of the city. "When I gave books to ethnic minority children, one of them hugged me and promised to study well. That image will forever be in my mind and motivate me to try harder, because I am luckier than many students and friends of the same age" - Nghi said.
The young student Phuong Nghi cherishes the dream of becoming a pediatrician. To make her dream come true, she always strives in studying and training. From 2023 to present, Tran Mai Phuong Nghi has received a certificate of merit from the Provincial Youth Union; a certificate of merit from the Chairman of the People's Committee of Cam Ranh City; is a provincial-level Uncle Ho's Good Child for the period 2022 - 2025; and achieved the title of Uncle Ho's Good Child nationwide in 2025...
Exemplary and energetic team leader
At the age of 14, Pham Thao Anh (class 8/4, Thai Nguyen Secondary School, Nha Trang City) is one of the typical faces with many remarkable achievements in studying, team work and self-training.
An excellent student for three consecutive years, Thao Anh especially loves English and Literature. She won a consolation prize in the school-level English competition; was the “Promising Writer” in the 51st UPU letter-writing competition with a creative essay, transforming into a tree to send a message about the environment; and won third prize in the city-level book-based storytelling competition with a story about the Dong Bo revolutionary base.

In addition to her good academic achievements, Thao Anh is also an exemplary team leader, active in all activities. In her conversation with us, Thao Anh said that since her primary school years, she has been interested in extracurricular activities. Therefore, when she entered secondary school, Thao Anh often registered and volunteered to participate in programs organized by the school and the team. She won first prize in the "Golden Bell" English contest organized by Nha Trang City Youth Union; twice won prizes in the city-level Excellent Team Leader contest; was a Good Nephew of Uncle Ho at the provincial and city levels; participated in many meaningful activities such as making videos singing the National Anthem at red addresses, participating in the activities of the "Khanh Hoa People Speak English" Project...
What is special about Thao Anh is that she practices and builds habits, discipline, and science. Since grade 4, she has maintained the habit of reading books for at least 20 minutes every night, with books about self-development, intelligence, and emotions. Every night, she makes a to-do list for the next day, dividing her time reasonably to both study well and participate in movement activities. "Every day, I try to do everything well, even the smallest things must be meticulous and I hope to be better every day," Thao Anh shared.
