“Look to the right! Hello! One! Two!”, early in the morning at the 25th Engineer Brigade (Military Region 7), the atmosphere was bustling with the shouts and the strong footsteps of Lieutenant Dao Thi Bao Cham and her teammates in the Vietnamese female peacekeeping unit practicing for the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification. Although being evaluated well in the joint training, preliminary rehearsal and final rehearsal, comrade Cham and her teammates in the unit were still very serious during the training process, listening to the training officers’ comments and corrections to correct their movements with determination, from the face so that each step had to be beautiful, neat, and up to standard in terms of command.

“During the entire journey to the South, we were welcomed very sincerely and affectionately by the people. When parading on the streets during the training sessions, preliminary rehearsals, and final rehearsals, amidst the applause and enthusiastic cheers of the people, I felt very honored and proud and took that as motivation to “overcome the sun and rain”, to practice more actively and seriously. The temperature in the South during the day is very high, each training session, my teammates and I were very tired, our shirts were soaked with sweat, but we were all determined to complete the mission well”, Lieutenant of the Military Police Dao Thi Bao Cham shared.

Having been selected to participate in the parade in the 70th Anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory, now continuing to perform the task in the national reunification day, in the two honorable times of being selected, Lieutenant Dao Thi Bao Cham promoted the sense of responsibility, trained well, and was awarded a Certificate of Merit by Military Region 3 for performing the task of marching and marching in the 70th Anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory.

Not only when participating in the parade, but also when performing regular tasks at the unit, Lieutenant Dao Thi Bao Cham is always dedicated to her work. When comrade Cham returned to the Ninh Binh Provincial Military Command to take up her position, the unit was also installing equipment to serve administrative reform and digital transformation. As a female employee of the Information Department, Lieutenant Dao Thi Bao Cham is always enthusiastic, working day and night to keep up with the unit's progress, including tasks usually reserved for men such as: connecting cables, wiring, installing computers, etc. Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Viet Cuong, Acting Head of the Information Department, said: "Comrade Cham is always energetic and enthusiastic in her work. When she first took up her position, she always actively learned from her colleagues and behaved very appropriately."

One of the outstanding achievements of Lieutenant Dao Thi Bao Cham is winning many medals in martial arts competitions organized by all levels. Lieutenant Dao Thi Bao Cham said: “I accidentally came to martial arts when I first started working at the Ninh Binh Provincial Military Command. At that time, the unit was selecting athletes to participate in the 2022 Unarmed Combat Championship of martial arts clubs across the army, I boldly registered to participate.”

To participate in the competition, Lieutenant Dao Thi Bao Cham underwent a very strict and rigorous physical training process. During the first days of training, she suffered from muscle strain and pain all over her body. After a hard training process, in her first participation in the military-level tournament, Lieutenant Dao Thi Bao Cham won a Bronze Medal in the 48kg weight category. Continuing the achievements from 2022, in the 2024 Military Region 3 Sports Festival, Lieutenant Dao Thi Bao Cham won a Silver Medal in unarmed combat, 51-54kg weight category and continued to win a Silver Medal in the above event at the 2024 National Defense Sports Festival organized by the Ministry of National Defense, and was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Political Commissar of Military Region 3.

Lieutenant Dao Thi Bao Cham was honored as a typical example in the Emulation Movement for Victory in the Armed Forces of Ninh Binh province, period 2019-2024.

With her achievements, Lieutenant Dao Thi Bao Cham was honored as an advanced model in the Emulation Movement for Victory in the Armed Forces of Ninh Binh province, period 2019-2024; and was commended by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Ninh Binh province as an advanced youth following Uncle Ho's teachings in 2023.
