Many officers and soldiers of Khanh Hoa Police participate in voluntary blood donation

According to information from the Khanh Hoa Provincial Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center, today (June 26), 650 people living and working in the province participated in voluntary blood donation.

MSc. Nguyen Duy Long, Head of Khanh Hoa Province Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center, said that through health checks and screening, 588 people were eligible to donate blood. Among them, many were officers and soldiers of the Police and Army.

This is a voluntary blood donation campaign with a fairly high number of registrants, so the Khanh Hoa Provincial Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center not only chose the blood receiving location at Khanh Hoa University on Tran Hung Dao Street, Loc Tho Ward, Nha Trang City, but also proactively prepared human resources, medical equipment, health consultation... so the work of receiving blood from blood donors was implemented quickly and effectively.

Accordingly, the blood collected from 588 blood donors included 425 units of 350ml bags and 163 units of 250ml bags. All blood was received and transferred to Khanh Hoa Provincial Blood Bank for preservation according to regulations, serving the treatment of emergency patients and treatment according to doctors' instructions when needed.

According to Master Nguyen Duy Long, this blood donation campaign is a meaningful activity, responding to the Red Journey program, World Day to honor voluntary blood donors and International Day of voluntary blood donors.
