Many new points in volunteer activities to support the 2025 high school graduation exam

More than 140 volunteer teams of Nghe An youth have implemented many creative activities to support candidates and their families at the exam sites of this year's high school graduation exam.

The "Supporting the Exam Season" campaign in 2025 in Nghe An was deployed synchronously with the participation of more than 140 youth volunteer teams with more than 2,000 union members and youth across the province.

This year, at some examination sites, volunteer activities have a new feature, which is that volunteer teams have closely coordinated with the invigilators to check and support late candidates. This is a practical activity to minimize the situation of candidates losing the right to take the exam due to personal problems.

At Huynh Thuc Khang High School (Vinh City), from 4:30 a.m. on June 26, more than 30 young volunteers were present to carry out assigned tasks. The team was divided into many groups, each in charge of a specific group of tasks.

Pham Thi Thuc Anh (class 11T3, member of the volunteer team at Huynh Thuc Khang High School) said: “In addition to the usual support activities, this year the team has an additional team to check for absent candidates. When the supervisor calls the roll and discovers that a candidate is absent, the list will be sent out so that the team can contact the parents. If due to forgetting the time or other unavoidable reasons, the team will coordinate to support the candidate to get to the exam site on time.”

According to the reporter's observation, more than 10 candidates at some examination sites in Vinh City were promptly contacted and supported by youth volunteer teams when they arrived late.

After receiving information from the supervisor, the volunteer force quickly called the parents, verified the reason and coordinated to take the students to the exam site. Thanks to this initiative, all candidates were able to attend the exam on time as scheduled.

Many practical activities

The "Supporting the Exam Season" campaign in Nghe An in 2025 not only ensures safety and thoughtfulness but also records flexible adjustments in the way of doing things to suit the actual situation, contributing to creating the most favorable conditions for candidates during important exam days.

The youth volunteer teams have carried out many specific activities such as providing free drinking water, helping to keep personal belongings, looking after vehicles, holding umbrellas for candidates and their families in hot weather, guiding exam room layouts, and assisting with transportation. At some exam locations with a large number of candidates, the volunteer force also coordinated traffic control in front of the school gate to ensure safety and avoid local congestion.

In addition, many Youth Union units also mobilized social resources to give snacks, handheld fans, and cold towels to candidates, contributing to reducing pressure during hot weather days.

To support the 2025 high school graduation exam, Nghe An University Youth Union has mobilized 90 youth union members to form 9 teams at 9 exam sites in the province. At the exam sites, the youth volunteer team of Nghe An University will guide candidates, distribute water, and park vehicles for candidates and their families. In addition, the youth union members will advise on majors of Nghe An University so that parents can grasp and orient their students after the exam.

Previously, on June 24, under the authorization of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association, comrade Ho Phuc Hai - Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union awarded the "Supporting exam season" scholarship worth 2 million VND to Van Thi Phuong Thuy - a student of class 12A5, Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted.

On the afternoon of June 25, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union visited and encouraged the youth volunteer teams "Supporting the exam season" who are on duty to support candidates entering the 2025 high school graduation exam.

At the examination sites, comrade Nguyen Thi Phuong Thuy - Member of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Youth Union of Nghe An province and comrade Nguyen Manh Phong - Deputy Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union visited and expressed their appreciation for the spirit of initiative, responsibility and enthusiasm of the union members and young people who are supporting the candidates with practical work such as: hanging banners, arranging vehicles, distributing water, distributing fans, guiding the exam room map, and picking up and dropping off candidates.

The visits and gifts of encouragement not only show the timely concern of the Youth Union but also give positive energy to the volunteers to continue to devote themselves to the campaign.
