Located in a rural area rich in revolutionary traditions and proudly bearing the name of the heroic martyr Ly Tu Trong, Ly Tu Trong Primary School (Viet Tien commune, Thach Ha district) has always paid special attention to educating students about historical traditions.

Accordingly, the school always focuses on integrating knowledge of history and culture through classroom lessons, combined with experiential and extracurricular activities. In addition, the school organizes field trips for students to visit historical sites and war relics in the area, and holds ceremonies for students joining the Young Pioneers at the Ly Tu Trong Memorial...
Ms. Tran Thi Dung Hue , Principal of Ly Tu Trong Primary School, shared: “Along with our annual activities, this time we have developed traditional education activities with the theme: 50 years of the nation's triumphant anthem. These activities are organized weekly with many rich and engaging programs such as: watching documentary films, reading and introducing history books, writing and drawing on the theme… From there, we help each student build an awareness of preserving, protecting, and promoting the value of heritage, striving to train and study well to be worthy of the sacrifices of our ancestors and of the school named after the hero Ly Tu Trong.”

Thanks to the school's plan, flag-raising ceremonies, break times, and extracurricular activities for students at Ly Tu Trong Primary School (Viet Tien - Thach Ha) have become more engaging and diverse.
Bui Khanh Huyen, a student in class 3A2 at Ly Tu Trong Primary School, shared: “In the past few days, we have watched historical films and practiced making tank models… Through these experiences, we have gained a better understanding of the hardships and sacrifices of the soldiers and the people during the resistance war for independence. We promise to be determined to train hard and study well to become good children and excellent students, contributing to building and protecting our homeland in the future.”

These include performances of revolutionary songs and dances in the schoolyard and at historical sites. To express pride in their homeland and to honor those who fell here, the school regularly maintains environmental hygiene at the historical site and martyrs' cemetery, and provides support to families of war veterans. And most importantly, the students are more conscious of their studies and training to become useful members of society," said Mr. Trần Hảo, Principal of Đồng Lộc Secondary School.

Each school and each region in Ha Tinh province is a historical landmark preserving the imprints and achievements of our predecessors. The tradition of patriotism and national pride continues to be passed on, motivating students to be more proactive in their training and studies.
Implementing the Provincial People's Committee's plan on "Strengthening the education of revolutionary ideals, ethics, lifestyle, and inspiring the aspiration to contribute for young people, teenagers, and children," the education sector has directed schools to promote the education of revolutionary traditions and ideals for students.
Through various flexible and creative methods, educational institutions have effectively implemented the provincial and sectoral plans. These activities are increasingly widespread, attracting a large number of students to participate. This has led to positive changes in the awareness and actions of each student, enabling them to better understand, be proud of, and consciously protect and preserve the historical relics and cultural heritage left by their ancestors.
