Ha Tinh women spread the spirit of learning from Uncle Ho to build a family of 5 no's and 3 clean's

In Xuan Thanh commune (Nghi Xuan), the movement to build a new rural area has long existed not only in clean, beautiful asphalt roads and green vegetable and fruit gardens, but also in the civilized lifestyle of each family.

After achieving the NTM standard in 2015 and the advanced NTM standard in 2019, by 2021, Xuan Thanh became the first commune in the district to achieve the model NTM standard. Contributing to that achievement are the efforts of the commune's women's union at all levels, especially the highlight of the campaign "Building a family of 5 no's, 3 clean's" (5 no's: no poverty, no violations of the law and social evils, no domestic violence, no third or more children, no malnourished and dropout children; 3 clean's: clean house, clean kitchen, clean alley).

Women's associations at all levels here have successfully built 7 typical residential clusters of "Clean houses - beautiful gardens" (from 20 households or more), 8/10 branches have met the standards of "5 no, 3 clean". At the same time, associations at all levels have mobilized 158 households to renovate mixed gardens, plant more than 9,000m of green fences, and support 17 economic models with an income of 50-100 million VND/year.

Adhering to the criteria of the campaign "Building a family of 5 no's, 3 clean's", Xuan Thanh Women's Union constantly supports improving the criteria for building a model new-style rural commune.

Ms. Tran Bao Toan - President of the Women's Union of Xuan Thanh commune shared: "We always stick close to the grassroots, widely mobilize so that each cadre and member is imbued with the ideology of studying and following Uncle Ho's example, setting a good example in carrying out tasks for the goal of building an increasingly prosperous homeland. From 2015 to now, the union has also mobilized more than 30,000 working days to build new rural criteria, mobilized 18 households to donate 3,578m2 of land, built ² model roads, 6 flower roads.

In particular, the association at all levels has helped 76 households escape poverty sustainably, build 1 cooperative, 1 cooperative group (THT) creating jobs for nearly 20 women. At the same time, the association focuses on developing "Happy Family" clubs, folk arts, forming a healthy and positive lifestyle.

In the general movement, women in Thach Chau commune (Thach Ha) also made a strong mark in building a model new rural area. Up to now, the whole commune has 11/11 branches meeting the standards of "5 no, 3 clean"; established 1 club and 10 models of "Model 5-yes New Rural Family", 1 model branch; built 11 "Green House" models to collect recycled waste, collected 245 million VND to give hundreds of gifts to disadvantaged women. The Women's Union also manages 13 green routes (11 routes managed by the branch, 2 routes managed by the commune level), contributing to helping Thach Chau reach the model new rural area goal in 2024.

In Ky Anh district, although the locality still has many difficulties, the Women's Union has had many creative ways of doing things. According to Ms. Pham Thi Huong - President of the District Women's Union: The campaign "5 no, 3 clean" was deployed in conjunction with the movement "Building Vietnamese women of the new era", studying and following Uncle Ho. The Union has mobilized cadres and members to set an example in implementing each criterion at the household level, supporting each branch to help 10-15 households meet all 8 criteria; building green - clean - beautiful residential areas, self-managed roads, supporting the renovation of clean houses - beautiful gardens; supporting women to start businesses, building OCOP products... Thanks to this contribution, the district will reach the NTM standard in August 2024.

Implementing the campaign "Building a family of 5 no's and 3 clean's", women's associations at all levels have aroused the spirit of competition to build the model of "Clean house, beautiful garden".

During the implementation process, the campaign "Building a family of 5 no's, 3 clean's" has become a key and consistent task of Ha Tinh Women's Union at all levels. From 2010 to now, the whole province has established 592 models and clubs such as: "Family of 5 yes - Model NTM", "5 no's, 3 clean", "Family of 5 yes - civilized urban area", "Clean house - beautiful garden - developed economy" and hundreds of "3 clean" branches; supporting 58,445 households to meet all 8 criteria of "5 no's, 3 clean"... Many major movements have been implemented synchronously and effectively such as: "Ha Tinh women unite, be creative, join hands to build the province to meet NTM standards 2022-2025"; "Planting 1 million trees in the period 2021-2025"; "Women say no to plastic waste"; "Ha Tinh women join hands to act for a green environment"...

Women's unions at all levels actively launch economic development movements and build OCOP products.

To date, the association has established more than 42 environmental cooperatives/groups; supported 13,000 livestock models using biological bedding; planted and cared for 767,565 trees; affixed recognition signs to 11,843 "Clean houses, beautiful gardens"; built more than 49,000 garbage pits, 31,000 wastewater treatment pits; thousands of green - clean - beautiful, safe roads...

Ha Tinh Women's Union commended 58 outstanding grassroots union officials in the movement to Study and follow Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle (May 2023).

Along with the achieved results, the work of commendation and honoring is focused on by all levels of the association. In 2023 and 2024, the association commended 58 exemplary association officials in studying and following Uncle Ho; 6 clubs, 22 households meeting the standards of "5 haves - model new rural areas"; honored 61 female entrepreneurs and excellent production models.
