Truong Sa Island Logistics and Technical Service Center: Troubleshooting fishing boats in Ninh Thuan province

Bring fishing vessel equipment to the central workshop for repair.

At around 7:00 a.m. on May 18, fishing boat NT02070TS captained by Mr. Tran Van Hoa was fishing in the area 6 nautical miles southwest of Truong Sa island when the winch control box broke down. The fishing boat contacted the Truong Sa island Logistics - Technical Service Center for instructions to enter Truong Sa island dock for repairs.

At 9:00 a.m., the fishing boat was guided by the center's staff to dock at the Au Tau port; upon inspection, it was discovered that the control gear cover of the net winch system was cracked and damaged, hydraulic oil spilled out, causing a loss of pressure and making it uncontrollable. The technical team removed the net winch control box cover and brought it back to the workshop for mechanical repair and resealing. At 4:00 p.m., the equipment was repaired, brought to the fishing boat, installed, and tested for normal operation.

Center staff gave national flags, life jackets and propaganda to fishermen.

During the repair period, the center's staff combined with propagating Prime Minister 's Directive 45/CT-TTg to fishermen; introducing the activities of the ports and fishing villages in Truong Sa island district; and presenting national flags, personal life jackets, 1,500 liters of fresh water and some necessities and medicines to fishermen on fishing boats.
