The strongest tornado appeared early this morning (June 13), causing great damage to Ngoc Linh ginseng gardens in village 2, Tra Linh commune.
According to initial statistics, the tornado caused dozens of ancient trees to fall on the ginseng beds, causing many ginseng roots that were in the seedling stage to be broken and crushed. Many ginseng nursery beds were also completely crushed by the fallen large trees.
According to Mr. Ho Van Dao in Kon Pin village, hamlet 2, Tra Linh commune, his family's ginseng garden had 4 ancient trees that were broken by the tornado, causing damage to more than 200 old ginseng trees that were producing seeds and many young ginseng trees.
On the afternoon of June 13, Mr. Dao's family took advantage of the reduced wind to focus on cleaning up the damaged ginseng beds in the hope of saving the roots from being crushed.

Not only that, the tornado sweeping close to the ground also caused many old ginseng plants that were producing seeds to break and fall, causing great damage.
Vice Chairman of Tra Linh Commune People's Committee Ho Van Dang said that the commune is currently asking people to report and count the amount of ginseng damaged. However, due to the whirlwind still occurring, ginseng growers have not been able to go to the garden to check the damage.
