1. Preparing for the final exam, Pham Hong Tien Thanh (grade 5, Ngo Quyen Primary School, Tam Ky City) and his friends are studying hard. 1. Orphaned, his mother is a medical worker who works until late at night, Nguyen Van Khai (grade 5, Le Hoan Primary School, Phu Ninh District) lives with his grandmother who is blind in one eye and sick and has difficulty walking. After school, on his old bicycle, Khai rushes home to do housework, cook for his grandmother, take care of his younger siblings... but never once complains.
Passionate about foreign languages, in his free time, after finishing his homework, Khai self-studied English and Chinese, and tried his hand at many playgrounds such as IOE, Phu Ninh's Got Talent... For many years, he was an excellent student, loved by teachers and friends for his diligence and constant efforts.
Mr. Duong Quoc Bao - a teacher at ABO Foreign Language Center, who has accompanied Khai's dream of being good at foreign languages and traveling the world since he was 6 years old, said: "Khai is a young student with great determination. He always maintains excellent academic performance, being in the top of the class for many years. Not only is he good at English, Khai also has quite good communication skills in Chinese. He always tries his best to study with the clear awareness that knowledge is the way to change the future."
2. Similar to Khai, during recess, Phan Thi Ni Na (grade 9, Phan Tay Ho Secondary School, Phu Ninh District) sat down on a stone bench in the school yard to review her lessons. Because after class, Na also had to go home to take care of her mother who had a broken leg in an accident.
The family is poor, Na's mother has epilepsy and cannot do heavy work, her father has bone and joint disease and every time the weather changes, he gets pain. But her mother still tries to do all the housework, raises chickens, grows vegetables when she is healthy, Na's father also tries to make a living by working as a construction worker, exposed to the sun and rain. The little girl understands the difficult situation so she always studies hard...
Talking about her favorite subject, history, Ni Na shared: “I can spend hours studying history, watching videos about war and history. For me, history is extremely fascinating, it helps us understand the losses and sacrifices of our ancestors. And it also gives us the motivation to try to be worthy of the value of peace that our nation has sacrificed so much.”

3. Not fortunate enough to enjoy full family love like Na, Vo Thi Yen Nhi (grade 9, Nguyen Hien Secondary School, Phu Ninh) had a childhood full of "scratches" due to domestic violence.
“I used to think home was a place to return to, but I didn’t know how to “return”. My family often quarreled, even fought, between my parents. Witnessing that scene many times, my heart ached, tears welled up in helplessness. Living in this environment, everyone said I was strong, but that was just an external label, and in my mind, my emotions had been broken by the word “family” for a long time…
Song Nhi gradually realized that she could not choose where she was born, but she could choose how she grew up. Instead of sadly dropping out of school, she started reading books, writing diaries, and focusing on studying as a way to save herself...
Accompanying Nhi throughout 4 years of secondary school with Literature, I saw her living optimistically and with extraordinary determination. Although her family was not complete, Nhi's starting point in Literature was not outstanding, but with diligence, positivity, even asking teachers for guidance, giving extra exercises to practice, Nhi improved every day and proved her ability.

Every year Vy is the best student in class. In the 2023-2024 school year, she won first prize in Literature at the district level. In the 2024-2025 school year, she won first prize in the provincial excellent student competition.
"The little sunflower girl" confided: "That situation once made me think I couldn't continue, but I chose to rise up, chose to study, study so that in the future I wouldn't become someone like my father - hot-tempered, lacking self-control; and also not someone like my mother - resigned, full of patience. Even so, I still love my parents, an imperfect family, but they were the ones who helped me understand what kind of person I needed to become."
