Letters of love

"Letters Embracing You" (Dan Tri Publishing House, 2023) is a book about the theme of intergenerational dialogue within the family - the source of life and love - which author Dinh Hoang Anh conveys through emotional and authentic "letters".

Author Dinh Hoang Anh is a PhD in Mathematics, a graduate of the Belarusian State University, and has taught at Hanoi University of Technology. Therefore, Dinh Hoang Anh's writing style is concise, offering a fresh perspective on the relationship between parents and children...

"Talking to your children" doesn't need to be about courage, honesty, love, or joy... parents should live bravely, honestly, love selflessly, and find joy in the present. If you must talk, talk about your shortcomings, failures, mistakes, and difficulties... so that your children can avoid them, learn from your experiences, and gain a deeper understanding of life.

"The current educational approach..." is robbing children of so much joy, confidence, and individuality... Therefore, let them grow naturally like healthy saplings, and let the flowers bloom on the day the tree chooses, not according to the grower's plan. Only then will the flowers fully release their latent fragrance and live out the vibrant life within them.

"Children are not a treasure to be saved for" - firstly, children are human beings, not material possessions. Secondly, why save for what, and what should we save for? Live and enjoy life immediately with care, love, even the worries, sleepless nights, hardships, sweat, tears, and smiles... Because that is what truly constitutes presence and a profound understanding of life. "Love or repayment?" - we are often reminded of the immeasurable sacrifices of our parents, and in turn, we will remind our children of that.

It's important to understand that the essence of love is selflessness, expecting nothing in return from the loved one, simply enjoying the sacred blessing of their presence in this world. And the love of parents for their children is no different.

Reading "Letters That Embrace You" evokes a range of emotions throughout its three main themes: "Messages from Life," with the first 24 letters containing heartfelt sentiments and stories shared across generations—stories that everyone carries in their hearts.

Like a wound or a lingering love, a road, a row of trees, a flower, a tear… from stories heard, people met… all leave behind messages about love and pain, about limits and freedom, about attachment and separation, about so many truths that need to be spoken to unleash the flow of genuine love within the family.

The next 24 letters in the second part, "The Concerns of Generations," will answer specific questions about problems encountered in life. These could be the age-old complaints of parents or children.

The author patiently uses stories to convey the ultimate message: acceptance and love for one another as we are, with sincerity and empathy, unburdened by the schemes and illusions of life.

And each generation should strive to find happiness within themselves. "Simple Flowers" is a reflection and understanding of life's events, leaving behind profound lessons and contributing to the development of thinking and awareness, which is very useful for readers. When our eyes and hearts are open, all the truths of life will blossom along our path.

In the book's introduction, author Dinh Hoang Anh shares: "I send you these letters to share my personal experiences, feelings, and understanding of how we can recognize the light of love within each person, and learn how to tap into the endless stream of love flowing through generations, especially in the sacred bond between parents and children."
