Songs recreating student movements

On the evening of June 27, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam Student Association organized the program "Student Song Journey" in 2023.

The event aims to welcome the Congress of the Vietnam Student Association at all levels, towards the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Student Association (term 2023-2028).

Following the success of the “Student Song” program in Truong Sa, this time the program was held in Ho Chi Minh City - the place that has “caught the pulse” of many student movements contributing to the Vietnamese revolution.

The program recreates the student movement from the flames of war to the peace of building the country with three colorful musical spaces: Part one, an art suite with the theme "Forged in the red fire", brings viewers back to the heroic period of "Singing for my compatriots" (1967-1970), contributing to recreating the student movement in the South during the boiling period of fire.

Part two, performing songs with the theme “From congress to congress”, briefly reviewed 10 congresses of the Vietnam Student Association. The songs have expressed and urged the patriotism of generations of Vietnamese students, which has continued to be promoted through many movements, forms of competition, study, creativity… demonstrated through the efforts to overcome difficulties in studying, especially students with difficult circumstances; typical examples of progress in studying, training, scientific research and starting a business. That is the continuation of the good, bright tradition of Vietnamese students.

Part three, featuring award-winning songs in the songwriting campaign for the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Student Association, such as: “Vietnamese Students Continue to Build a Golden History” by author Ho Cong Thanh; “Vietnamese Students Proudly Continue to Build” by author Quang Thanh Giang; “Student Marks” by author Binh Phuong; “Proud of Vietnamese Students” by musician Le Thong Nhat… have become propaganda songs, introducing the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Student Association.

The program ended with the sharing of musician Mai Tram, author of the song "Student Aspiration" - the official song carrying the spirit and aspirations of the 11th Congress of the Vietnam Student Association.
