On the morning of November 20, the atmosphere of gratitude at Tran Duy Hung Secondary School became special with the meeting between teachers, students and two children of Doctor Tran Duy Hung. In that solemn and warm atmosphere, the image of an elegant and humane Hanoi was recalled, reminding everyone of the core of education : Preserving and cultivating human values.

More than an anniversary, this is a time for each of us to look back at the qualities that make up the teaching profession: Dedication, compassion and responsibility to support the adult generations. That meaning becomes even more profound when the two children of the first President of Hanoi during the peacetime shared about a great personality - the person who considered education as a sustainable foundation for long-term development.

That is the voice from the core of the profession, and also the standard that all innovations, programs, digital transformation, or improving the quality of the team must aim for.

Mr. Tran Tien Duc recounted the memory of 1966 when American bombs hit Thanh Tri and as soon as the bombs stopped, his father - doctor Tran Duy Hung immediately appeared where teachers and students were taking shelter. Education, even during the war, is still the light that keeps people from being left behind. He sent a message to today's generation: "The most proud thing is that our education system is developing. I hope you have strong dreams... who knows, among you sitting here, there will be someone who will become the City Chairman." A message, an expectation sent to the young generation "Keep your personality, nurture your knowledge".

The second son, Mr. Tran Duy Nghia, added another thread: The spirit of self-study and lifelong learning is something that his children have always been taught in his family since childhood. The soul of the country must always be preserved and developed. He reminded Pham Quynh of the saying: "If the Vietnamese language exists, the country exists". A timely message: In the era of digital transformation, new skills, new jobs, new opportunities, the ability to self-study is the key to keeping young people from falling behind. The old value - the spirit of self-study enters a new space: the 2018 General Education Program, the model of learning citizens that Hanoi is building, the requirements for autonomy, creativity, and identity discovery of the young generation.

In the middle of the school yard, a small hand was raised. Student Luu Tuan Hai of class 9A8 would like to send a small question to the guests: “In daily life, what kind of father is Mr. Tran Duy Hung?”

Simple question, but the answer is full of light.

Mr. Tran Tien Duc describes his father in very common ways: Simple, rarely scolds his children, respects his children from the smallest things like "knocking on the door when entering the children's room"; encourages reading; loves art; is close to the people; drives himself to check the dykes on flood nights; doesn't want anyone to be bothered by him... Small stories but create a great personality. A beautiful and sophisticated Hanoi, truly "Trang An people".

The moment a child knows how to say sorry. The moment a student's eyes light up when understanding something new. That is the greatest happiness of the teaching profession".

Those real-life stories blend into the flow of education in the capital, where teachers are shouldering many new requirements: innovating methods, grasping technology, accompanying the psychology of the age group, meeting quality standards, but they themselves, with their hearts and minds, with enthusiasm and perseverance, are turning policy requirements into concrete actions.

The certificate of merit from the City People's Committee for the school's teachers today not only recognizes achievements but also confirms one thing: Innovation is taking place substantially, from each lecture, each professional group, to changes in school culture.
