Medical industry benchmark score in 2025 (Table: Hoang Hong).
The lowest benchmark score for the Medical industry in 2025 is 20.5, equivalent to the floor score of this industry according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training .
There are 12 schools that set the minimum score for medical training, including mostly non-public universities such as Duy Tan, Nam Can Tho, Tan Tao, Van Lang, Hoa Binh, Dai Nam, and Yersin Da Lat.
Since 2018, the Ministry of Education and Training has set a threshold to ensure the quality of input for the Pedagogy and Health sectors. This regulation comes from the enrollment situation in 2017, many pedagogical schools set a benchmark score of only 3 points/subject.
Therefore, for at least the past 7 years, no university has taken 15 entrance points for medical training.
For the past 3 years, the minimum score for the Medical major has not been lower than 19 points. The highest is 22.5 points (in 2024).
In 2025, the minimum score for the medical industry will be 20.5 points. The minimum threshold for ensuring input quality for other health industries such as nursing, dentistry, traditional medicine, etc. is 17 points.
This is the level applied to candidates in region 3. This floor score does not multiply the coefficient for any admission combination, does not calculate bonus points, and does not distinguish between the exam results of candidates studying the 2006 or 2018 program.
