Hanoi Medical University cooperates to develop high-quality medical staff for the police

On the morning of October 30, the Ministry of Health informed about the signing of a cooperation agreement and a contract in principle for practical training between Hanoi Medical University and Hospital 19-8, Ministry of Public Security.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Deputy Minister of Health Tran Van Thuan highly appreciated the significance of the event and said that this cooperation will create conditions for students of Hanoi Medical University to access a modern and diverse practice environment, while helping Hospital 19-8 access international training standards and develop a high-quality medical team for the People's Public Security Force (CAND).

“Today’s agreement contributes to concretizing the spirit of the Party’s major Resolutions, especially Resolution 72 of the Politburo . In which, linking medical training with clinical practice, building an education - hospital - research - technology transfer ecosystem is no longer an orientation, but a mandatory requirement to create a modern, standardized and sustainable healthcare system,” Deputy Minister Tran Van Thuan stated.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant General Dang Hong Duc, Deputy Minister of Public Security, emphasized that the cooperation agreement between Hanoi Medical University and 19-8 Hospital has important strategic significance. Thereby, it helps students of Hanoi Medical University access a diverse, modern and unique practice environment. At the same time, it creates conditions for 19-8 Hospital to access advanced medical knowledge, international training standards and promote scientific research; contributing to the development of a high-quality medical workforce to serve the People's Public Security Forces and the community.

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Thanh Tuyen, Director of Hospital 19-8, this cooperation agreement aims to strengthen comprehensive coordination in training, research and development of high-quality medical human resources, while consolidating the close cooperative relationship between the two units.

On the side of Hanoi Medical University, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Tu, Rector of Hanoi Medical University, said that the school will support professional human resources, especially professors and leading doctors in cardiology, to establish the Cardiovascular Institute at Hospital 19-8 and soon turn Hospital 19-8 into one of the school's key practice facilities, not only in the field of cardiology but also in many other subjects.
