The writing contest with the theme "The Beauty of Water" aims to spread the achievements of the water supply industry and raise awareness among people about protecting water resources and the environment.

After 3 months, the organizing committee received 438 entries. The works were not only diverse in perspective but also realistically and vividly expressed the beauty of water, from beautiful memories and memories associated with cool water to the sweat of labor and practical achievements that clean water brings.

In addition, the organizing committee also received many articles suggesting solutions to save and protect water resources...

Outstandingly surpassing many "heavyweight" articles, the work "Underground streams flowing for a hundred years" by author Doan Dai Tri won first prize. The work speaks of the attachment of Ho Chi Minh City to rivers or, more specifically, underground streams.

Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon - Gia Dinh, developed alongside rivers. The river and the city are linked together by many historical events. A typical example is the event when the patriotic young man Nguyen Tat Thanh boarded the ship Amiral Latouche Tréville, starting his journey to find a way to save the country, a new turning point in the history of the Vietnamese revolution.

Second prize went to author Dang Hoang An with the article "Thinking about saving water".

The two third prizes are "Missing the old water tower in the heart of today's city" by author Diem Mi and "We are also soldiers" by authors from the Technical Department, Clean Water Transmission Enterprise.

There are also 8 consolation prizes and 10 works by officers, employees and workers of Sawaco units that won the inspirational article prize.

Composing music about the beauty of water

Sawaco representative also shared that this is a very meaningful contest towards the 150th anniversary of the water supply industry in Ho Chi Minh City. In addition to the written entries, the unit also invited a number of musicians to participate in the field trip program and music composition camp to compose musical works about the water industry.

Thereby contributing to better serving the spiritual life of workers, contributing to propagating and promoting Sawaco's image closer to the people.
