Lonely Planet said in the 15th edition of its book "Best in Travel" that the top trend in 2025 is traveling by train.
Previously, this famous magazine recognized Vietnam's Thong Nhat railway (pictured) in first place in the list of 9 most spectacular train journeys in the world .

Following the train are trips to explore the unique local landscape and culture. Lonely Planet "names" Chiang Mai - Thailand as a place not to be missed when mentioning the above trend.
"Whether you're a foodie or just curious, the culinary scene here is fresh and exciting," Nitya Chambers, vice president of content and executive editor at Lonely Planet, told CNN.
