The People's Committee of Ninh Binh province has issued a document agreeing to allow 5/8 districts and cities in the province to organize low-altitude fireworks displays on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024 on New Year's Eve (February 9, 2024).
Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee agreed in principle that Ninh Binh city, Tam Diep city, Hoa Lu district, Gia Vien district and Nho Quan district organize low-altitude fireworks displays to serve people to celebrate New Year's Eve on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024.
Fireworks display locations include: Dinh Tien Hoang De Square (Ninh Binh city at 12:00 p.m.); Tam Diep City Sports Center at 10:00 p.m.; festival venue, Hoa Lu Ancient Capital Historical and Cultural Relic Site (Hoa Lu district at 12:00 p.m.); Gia Vien District Administrative Center at 10:30 p.m.; and the Cultural House Square area of Nho Quan District at 12:00 p.m.
The budget for organizing low-altitude fireworks displays is taken from socialized sources, not from the state budget.
The Provincial People's Committee assigned the People's Committees of districts and cities to preside over and coordinate with the Military Command, Provincial Police, Department of Culture and Sports to develop a specific plan and organize low-altitude fireworks display on the occasion of the 2024 Lunar New Year in accordance with regulations, ensuring absolute safety for people, vehicles, environmental landscape, security and order, traffic safety and creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere among the people.
The fireworks display event on the occasion of the New Year is an opportunity for locals and tourists to enjoy memorable moments, a meaningful moment when transitioning between the old year and the new year.
