Efforts to preserve and promote the value of cultural heritage

VHO - In the first half of 2025, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Monuments Conservation Center has made many efforts in preserving and promoting cultural values. Most notably, the Po Nagar Tower Relic (Po Nagar Tower) was honored to be ranked as a Special National Monument by the Prime Minister on January 17, 2025, affirming the outstanding position of this ancient architectural work.

Mr. Tran Duc Ha, Director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Monuments Conservation Center, proudly shared: "In the first six months of 2025, the Center has achieved many encouraging results, especially during the Lunar New Year 'Celebrating the Party - Celebrating the Spring of At Ty 2025' and 'Pô Nagar Tower Festival Nha Trang 2025', cultural and artistic activities were successfully organized, leaving a deep impression in the hearts of the people."

Many unique traditional art programs were held at the Po Nagar Tower relic and Hon Chong - Hon Do scenic spots, attracting a large number of locals and tourists. From graceful Cham dances, resounding traditional musical instruments, to pottery and brocade weaving performances, etc., a colorful and vibrant cultural picture was created.

In particular, the Po Nagar Nha Trang Tower Festival 2025 took place solemnly and successfully. With the participation of nearly 200 groups practicing the Mother Goddess worship and more than 100,000 visitors and pilgrims, the festival is not only an important spiritual event but also a major cultural highlight of the province.

Regular cultural programs such as "Moon Reflecting on the Tower" and "Sacred Land of Agarwood" are also maintained on the full moon and first day of each month, providing unique cultural experiences, helping visitors feel more deeply the spiritual and architectural beauty of the relic.

In addition to vibrant cultural activities, the Center also pays special attention to the preservation and promotion of heritage values ​​with many important proposals. Currently, the Center is actively building a dossier on the intangible cultural heritage "Practice of worshiping Mother Goddess Thien YA Na in Khanh Hoa province" to submit to UNESCO, aiming to be recognized as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity.

In addition, the scientific dossier to rank Dien Khanh Citadel (Dien Khanh district) as a special national relic is being urgently completed. The Center has also proposed solutions to preserve brick and stone materials at Po Nagar Tower relic, in order to preserve the beauty and historical value of this unique architectural work for future generations.
