“ #VN1945 ” is a revolutionary music project, carried out by the OPlus group with 4 singers: Quang Minh, Tung Linh, Tung Lam and Duc Tung of the 9X generation with the desire to convey the message that “red music” not only belongs to the past but also represents passionate patriotism and any generation is proud and happy to listen to. Singer Duc Tung expressed that revolutionary music is still a source of living inspiration for all generations, not just memories of the past. With new arrangements and a singing style that breathes the times, the group hopes to bring this historically valuable music closer to the Gen Z generation, becoming a bridge between those born during wartime and the young generation growing up in peace .

Choosing the name “#VN1945”, OPlus explained that the group took the year 1945 as a milestone, the successful August Revolution and also the year of the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, marking the milestone of independence and freedom of the country. From that same message, the group used the project’s identity form based on the idea of a postage stamp - once a symbol of communication lines. The project “#VN1945” was built by OPlus as a postal system through time, where each song is a “historical parcel” carrying the memories of the nation. When opening the album, the audience feels like they are opening a letter with a postmark from 1945 - a message from the past to the present and the future.
Opening this meaningful project are 7 songs, including 5 famous and familiar songs to many generations of audiences: "Doan Ve Quoc Quan" (Phan Huynh Dieu), "Tieng pestle tren soc Bom Bo" (Xuan Hong), "Love song" (Hoang Viet), "Noi dao xa" (The Song), "Bai ca Ho Chi Minh " (Ewan MacColl, Vietnamese lyrics by musician Phu An) and 2 new songs composed by OPlus, "Nhung chien binh Lac Hong" and "Nguoi la anh sang". In these 7 songs, there is the song "Doan Ve Quoc Quan" sung in a new and impressive Acapella style (singing lyrics without accompaniment); the song "Nguoi la anh sang" was composed by the group with emotion, pride and gratitude to leader Nguyen Ai Quoc-Ho Chi Minh.
Sharing about singing the Acapella opening song “National Defense Corps”, singer Quang Minh, leader of OPlus group said: “The song was composed by Phan Huynh Dieu in the year Vietnam gained independence (1945). In that context, “Liberation Corps” (later renamed “National Defense Corps”) was born as an oath of the young generation going to war: “Go, go to preserve the country. Go, go, rather die than retreat...”. The song was first popularized in Da Nang , on trains carrying troops marching south, the Viet Minh Propaganda and Art Team (including the author) sang this passionate melody full of determination of the young people going to save the country. The song’s influence was very strong, following the troops spreading out across all fronts. Therefore, we wanted to express the work with sincere lyrics and resounding pride.”
The connection of the project "#VN1945" is also demonstrated through the participation of many young Gen Z people in creating identity and communication on social media channels in the way of young people. OPlus said that during the working process, the group was very surprised to see Gen Z people learning and having perspectives on "red music" with deep love for their homeland and country, but also very interesting and new. That is the motivation for the group to develop the project strongly in the future.
“#VN1945” is a project that has a starting point but no end point. OPlus will extend and expand the project with the next famous songs, or new songs, as a mission to spread to not only the audience but also artists, young cultural workers, contributing to preserving and reviving timeless musical values,” said singer Quang Minh.
