This activity was attended by nearly 40 officers, soldiers, union members and youth from the 42nd Squadron of Coast Guard Region 4, Viettel Nam Can and the Nam Can Commune Youth Union. Accordingly, the forces collected and replaced 689 lotus flowers at the martyrs' graves supported by Viettel Nam Can. The fresh flowers are like the hearts of today's generation sent to their fathers and brothers who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Muot, an employee of Viettel Nam Can, shared: “Every year, Viettel accompanies the locality in organizing gratitude activities. One of them is the flower replacement activity at the Martyrs’ Cemetery. Viettel finds this activity to be very meaningful, aiming to promote and educate patriotism and gratitude, while also motivating Viettel staff to strive for development.”
Lieutenant Colonel Huynh Van Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of the 42nd Naval Division, Coast Guard Region 4, informed: "Towards the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, the Youth Union of the 42nd Naval Division, under the direction of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Commander of the 42nd Naval Division, developed a plan to coordinate with the Youth Union of Nam Can commune to organize activities such as: cleaning the cemetery grounds, changing flowers at the graves of martyrs, and visiting some policy families in the area."
The fresh flowers are like the hearts of today's generation sent to our predecessors who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
This is an annual activity of Nam Can commune (formerly Nam Can district) every July. Not only does it show gratitude, this activity is also a message reminding today's generation to live a life worthy of the noble sacrifices of their predecessors.
Ms. Nguyen My Duyen, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune, Secretary of the Nam Can Commune Youth Union, said: “According to the plan, the Nam Can Commune Youth Union will organize practical activities to celebrate the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day. Specifically, launching a Green Sunday to clean and decorate the monuments with the names of heroic martyrs in the commune; organizing a candle-lighting ceremony to pay tribute... Through the activities of the Youth Union, we aim to propagate to the people and members of the Youth Union and youth in the commune about the tradition of “remembering the source of water when drinking” of the nation”./.
