This is the first time a Vietnamese boxer has participated in the highlight match of the AFC event when Hoang Nam Thang faces a formidable opponent Oh Su-hwan. Sharing after the body weight check, Hoang Nam Thang said: "My coaching staff and I have learned about our opponent through video clips. Oh Su-hwan is a good boxer, especially in wrestling and locking skills. I will have to be wary of being brought down to the floor by him if I cannot demonstrate my standing fighting skills. I hope to win by knockout or at least give the audience a satisfying match."
