This year, Bac An commune strives to plant 200 hectares of production forest, mainly the forest area damaged by storm No. 3 (storm Yagi). In the first few months of the year, forest planting was not favorable due to little rain. On May 9 and 10, Chi Linh city area had rain, the soil was moist, farmers in Bac An commune took advantage of the opportunity to go to the forest to speed up the tree planting progress.

These days, the forest planting in Bac An commune is taking place very urgently. Mr. Dang Van Tam's family in Vanh Lieng village has nearly 4 hectares of production forest. In addition to his family's labor force, he also hires some workers from the northern mountainous provinces.

The eucalyptus forests planted early have grown well and are regularly cared for and protected by farmers. According to some farmers in Bac An commune, high-yield eucalyptus will be harvested after about 4 years of planting. In previous production seasons, each hectare of eucalyptus forest achieved a revenue of about 120 million VND, giving a profit of 80 million VND/ha.

From the beginning of the year to May 12, Bac An commune has planted about 100 hectares of production forest, reaching 50% of the plan. Many areas of early planted forest have grown well.
