A pair of deer antlers weighing 2.76kg in Nghe An was sold for more than 40 million VND.

Mr. Tran Van Hoan, residing in village 6, Quynh Son commune, Quynh Luu district - the owner of the deer said: "My family has been raising deer for antlers for several years now, this is the first year that my family has cut a pair of antlers weighing 2.76 kg. This pair of antlers has the shape of a cockscomb flower, and was ordered by a customer in Hoang Mai town for more than 40 million VND.

It is known that this is a good deer breed, bought by Mr. Hoan from a household in Huong Son district (Ha Tinh province) at a price much higher than the average price of deer on the market. This deer is about 6 years old, before being bought, the antlers were cut 5 times. In 2024, this deer harvested a pair of antlers weighing up to 2.7 kg.

After hearing the news, many people came to Mr. Hoan's family to witness the "lucky harvest" of this giant pair of antlers.

To have such large and beautiful antlers, Mr. Hoan's family has planted many kinds of vegetables and grasses in the garden. During the season when deer antlers grow, the family also adds starches such as corn bran, cassava, especially fresh sticky rice to stimulate the deer antlers to grow quickly.

Currently, in addition to the deer with this "huge" pair of antlers, Mr. Hoan's family also has nearly 10 other deer that are also growing antlers, each pair of antlers weighs about 0.5 - 1kg on average.
