"Three people were killed and six others injured after a 14-year-old suspect opened fire in Siam Paragon shopping mall," doctors said on October 3.
One of the injured victims is believed to be a foreign national.
BBC quoted a source from Thai authorities saying that the teenager used a pistol to commit the crime.

Shooting in shopping mall in Bangkok, many casualties
The suspect was pinned to the floor and handcuffed while a police officer picked up the murder weapon.
Video footage posted on social media earlier showed people rushing out of the mall as heavy rain poured outside.
The shooting forced the closure of the shopping mall as well as the nearby Siam subway station.
Thai police are investigating the motive of this 14-year-old suspect.

Another video, which appears to have been filmed from inside the busy shopping mall, can be heard clearly, with several loud bangs that sound like gunshots.
Witnesses also reported online that they were hiding in shops and toilets at the time of the suspect's attack.
Tourist Liu Shiying (Chinese) told AP that the alarm rang in the shopping area, the lights went out and she was still hiding and did not dare to go out.
"I am aware of the shooting incident in Siam Paragon and have ordered the police to investigate. My main concern is public safety," Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin posted on social network X, the new name for Twitter.
Sky News (UK) said that gun violence is common in Thailand. Last year, a former police officer killed 22 children in a shooting at a kindergarten. In 2020, a soldier shot dead at least 29 people and injured 57 others in the northern Thai city of Nakhon Ratchasima.
