On the afternoon of January 30 (the 9th day of the Lunar New Year), the Editorial Board of the Lao Dong Newspaper visited and presented money to People's Artist Kim Cuong and People's Artist Le Thuy - two artists with many achievements in cultural and artistic activities, and at the same time, two typical examples in charity activities, helping those in difficult circumstances in life, who were awarded the title of Lifetime Artist for the Community by the Lao Dong Newspaper at the 27th and 28th Mai Vang Awards Ceremony.

People's Artist Kim Cuong said that the 100 million VND she received (along with the title of Lifetime Artist for the Community) will be used entirely for charity work. Specifically and first, she will take the children orphaned by Covid-19 (whom she and other benefactors are taking care of and supporting) out, maybe to see a circus or a play, watch a movie... "If young people like Ngo Kien Huy or Vo Minh Lam have time, they can join us...", she said and added, "If you don't have a sensitive heart, you can't be an artist. You have to know how to feel the pain of others, know how to share the difficulties and misfortunes of your compatriots... So whenever there is a charity activity, if possible, I really hope that young artists will join us."
People's Artist Kim Cuong advised young artists to "participate more in community activities, because the more you go into the field and have more life experiences, the more soulful and emotional your singing and acting will be..."

Responding to the message of People's Artist Kim Cuong, Ngo Kien Huy hopes to have opportunities to accompany charity activities to help many difficult and unfortunate situations and try to follow in the footsteps and continue the good and valuable traditions of previous generations of artists.
People's Artist Le Thuy will use the 100 million VND she received to send to people in difficult circumstances in remote areas.
As for People's Artist Le Thuy, she said she will also spend the entire amount of 100 million VND to send to people in difficulty, because "I perform in remote areas a lot, I see a lot of people in difficulty...".
