On the morning of August 28, Meritorious Artist Thanh Dien performed a reformed opera composed by his wife - the late Meritorious Artist Thanh Kim Hue - when they were still working on the stage of the Saigon 1 Reformed Opera Troupe. The script was "Love you from then" organized by the Tran Huu Trang Theater Union.

Meritorious Artist Thanh Dien shared that this was his wife's wish when she was alive. She wanted her scripts to not remain in the family's drawer but to continue to be staged to serve the public.

"The play is timeless because of its profound humanity. Each character has their own feelings and aims for a happy family life. I staged it in a new way, reflecting the progress of modern life and people, regardless of age, must approach it to become useful to their family and society" - Meritorious Artist Thanh Dien said.

Artist Vo Minh Lam said he always admired the scripts of the late Meritorious Artist Thanh Kim Hue. This is an opportunity for him and his colleagues to revive the romantic and humane love story of a famous female singer with the ability to write scripts.
"I still remember in 2006, when I competed in the "TV Star of Traditional Opera" contest - the predecessor of the "Golden Bell of Traditional Opera" contest organized by HTV, Meritorious Artist Thanh Dien was the one who protected me and encouraged me when he was on the jury that year. This time I got to work with him, acting alongside artists who had many good social and psychological roles, so I really liked it. In particular, this role has less traditional opera and more bolero music, with a new and youthful staging, I believe it will attract young audiences who love modern reformed opera" - said artist Vo Minh Lam.

Meritorious Artist Lam Tuyen is equally excited as the play will be an opportunity for younger generation artists to remember a talented and beautiful female artist, loved by the public for her creative talent. The scripts of the late Meritorious Artist Thanh Kim Hue were warmly received by the audience on the stage of the Saigon 1 Cai Luong Troupe such as: "Ben Tuong Tu", "Em Oi Dung Khong Khoc Nua", "Xin Dung Noi Yeu Em", "Noi Oi Dung Dich", "I Khong Yeu Dan Ba"...
Meritorious Artist Thanh Dien is a talented director. He brought resounding success to the Saigon 1 and 3 reformed opera troupes during the period he steered the operations of these two brands.
Not only bringing artistic efficiency, he also brought the troupe high revenue through the compositions of the late Meritorious Artist Thanh Kim Hue.
"As the second anniversary of my wife's death is approaching, I believe this play will be meaningful to me and my family, as we continue to make efforts to create the scripts that my wife has put so much effort into creating," Meritorious Artist Thanh Dien confided.
