Female student worried when university entrance exam results changed from passing to failing

The system of the Ministry of Education and the University of Finance and Marketing reported the university entrance exam results to the successful candidates. After that, the school called to inform the candidates that they failed due to an error in calculating the scores.

On the afternoon of August 29, the Vietnamese Women's Newspaper received a hotline call and a petition for support from candidate Nguyen Ngoc Diem Phuong, born in 2007, residing in Ho Chi Minh City, about her university entrance exam being reported as passed but then turned into a failure.

Student Nguyen Ngoc Diem Phuong said: "Before that, I registered for admission to the University of Finance - Marketing on the Ministry of Education 's system and was reported as having passed on the Ministry's and the school's systems. I also quickly completed the tuition procedures. But at noon on August 28, 2025, an officer of the school's training department called me and informed me that I was not qualified to study international business (TATP). The reason given was due to the school's error in calculating the score."

The Ministry of Education and Training released information on the admission of candidate Nguyen Ngoc Diem Phuong to the University of Finance and Marketing.

According to the candidate, the representative of the training department of the University of Finance - Marketing said that the school proposed two options: First, the candidate must change to Business Administration or Banking and Finance, and second, consider the next choice.

The school also sent a text message announcing the admission.

"My family and I are currently very worried because there is only one day left, August 30, 2025, the Ministry of Education's enrollment system will close. At 8:00 a.m. this morning, August 29, my family and I went to the school to discuss with the school. In the end, I accepted the choice of studying Business Administration (TATP) at the school. At noon today, the teacher at the school called me again and informed me that I could not enroll in another major at the school because I did not register my wishes with the Ministry of Education and forced me to consider the next choice. Meanwhile, before that, the school also proposed the initial plan to study another major but then said that it was impossible to study," worried student Nguyen Ngoc Diem Phuong.

Candidates have paid tuition fees in full.

This female candidate believes that the mistake was made by the school, but instead of resolving it satisfactorily, the school let the candidate suffer. Currently, Nguyen Ngoc Diem Phuong said that she really needs an apology and the best solution for the candidate of the University of Finance - Marketing.
