Mr. Nguyen Manh Dung is acting Secretary of Ha Giang province.

Deputy Secretary of Ha Giang province Nguyen Manh Dung was assigned by the Politburo to act as Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term until this position is filled.

On the morning of May 31, handing over the decision to Mr. Dung, Standing member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Organization Committee Truong Thi Mai assessed that during his time as Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Dung had made great contributions to the development achievements of the province.

In her new position, Ms. Mai hopes that Mr. Dung and the provincial leadership will bring Ha Giang to a fairly developed position in the midland and mountainous region of the North by 2030.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Dung promised to promote his capacity and inherit the achievements of previous leaders to improve the material and spiritual life of the people.

A week ago, Mr. Dang Quoc Khanh, Secretary of Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee, was approved by the National Assembly to be appointed as Minister of Natural Resources and Environment.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Dung, 50 years old, from Ly Nhan district, Ha Nam province, has a master's degree in business administration, bachelor's degree in economics, and bachelor's degree in foreign languages, majoring in English.

In 2014, he was assigned as the Standing Secretary of the Central Youth Union, and three years later, the Secretariat transferred him to be the Deputy Secretary of the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee.
