Mr. Rah Lan Chung holds the position of Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee

This morning (August 27), the People's Council of Gia Lai province, term XII, 2021-2026, held the 21st session (special session) to elect the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

At the meeting, Mr. Ho Van Nien - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Gia Lai province, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, presented Document No. 801 dated August 21, 2024 on introducing personnel to elect the Chairman of the People's Committee of Gia Lai province, term XII, term 2021-2026.

Accordingly, Mr. Rah Lan Chung - Deputy Secretary of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, delegate of the Provincial People's Council, was introduced to be elected to hold the position of Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

Immediately after that, Mr. Rah Lan Chung was elected by the Provincial People's Council delegates to hold the position of Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee with 100% of the votes.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Rah Lan Chung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, new Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee thanked the Provincial People's Council for their trust in electing and assigning him a new task. He said he will continue to make efforts, together with the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, to perform well the assigned tasks.

Mr. Rah Lan Chung (53 years old) is a Jarai, native of Chu Prong town, Chu Prong district, Gia Lai province. He has a professional qualification from the University of Security, a master's degree in political science (Ho Chi Minh National University of Politics and Public Administration), and is a senior expert in state management.

During his work, Mr. Rah Lan Chung held many positions in Chu Pah district (Gia Lai) such as: Deputy Head of District Police, Permanent Vice Chairman of District People's Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of District Party Committee, Chairman of District People's Council, Secretary of District Party Committee.

He also held many positions at Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee such as: Deputy Head of Internal Affairs Committee, Head of Internal Affairs Committee, Deputy Secretary of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee.
