Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan visited and presented gifts to the family of a typical meritorious person.

(GLO)- On the afternoon of August 28, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan visited and presented gifts to veteran revolutionary cadres, pre-uprising cadres and families of outstanding revolutionary contributors in localities in the western region of the province.

This is an activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

Also attending were representatives of the Provincial People's Committee Office; Department of Home Affairs; Standing Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Pleiku Ward, Bien Ho Commune and Gao Commune.

Accordingly, the delegation visited and presented gifts to the families of Mr. and Mrs. Siu Bom (former political prisoner; Osor village, Gao commune); Rmah Boch (person with revolutionary contributions; C village, Gao commune); Nguyen Huu Ich (disabled soldier; Tien Son 2 village, Bien Ho commune); Nguyen Minh Duc (disabled soldier; village 4, Bien Ho commune).

At the families, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan kindly asked about their health and life; at the same time, expressed deep gratitude for the great contributions and sacrifices of the families to the cause of national liberation and reunification.

Affirming the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" and "Repaying gratitude" as the nation's eternal fine traditions, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: Today's and future generations always have the responsibility to show gratitude to those who have contributed to the revolution; at the same time, constantly educate revolutionary traditions, patriotism, national pride, and raise the sense of responsibility of the whole society in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan also said that the Party and State always pay attention to and take better care of the material and spiritual life of families with revolutionary contributions. He hopes that the families will continue to promote the tradition of patriotism, becoming shining examples to educate the younger generation about pride and revolutionary spirit.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan presented gifts of gratitude to the families.

Receiving the attention of the Party, State and local authorities, the families of the meritorious people expressed their emotions; at the same time, they affirmed that they will continue to preserve and promote the revolutionary tradition of their families, educate their children and grandchildren to strictly follow the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies, and contribute to building an increasingly prosperous and civilized homeland.
