The Politburo appointed comrade Tran Luu Quang, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, as Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

The Deputy Secretaries of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term include: Le Quoc Phong, Nguyen Van Duoc, Vo Van Minh, Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Dang Minh Thong, and Van Thi Bach Tuyet.

On the morning of October 14, at the opening session of the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress, term 2025-2030, a ceremony was held to announce the Politburo 's decision on appointing the Secretary and Deputy Secretaries of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee for the term 2025-2030.
