Mr. Tran Cam Tu: Identifying learning as a daily revolutionary action of cadres, lecturers and students

On the morning of September 8th, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics held its opening ceremony for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Faculty and staff must be shining examples and a source of inspiration for students.

Speaking at the ceremony, Standing Committee member of the Party Central Committee Tran Cam Tu requested the Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy to continue to strongly uphold its glorious 76-year tradition of construction and development.

Proactively implement and create breakthroughs in all aspects of work in accordance with the directives and orientations of the Politburo and the Secretariat.

The academy's training, scientific research, policy advisory and consulting activities, and international cooperation should clearly demonstrate the stature, intellect, identity, position, role, and importance of the Party's highest-level political theory school.

He suggested that the academy should thoroughly understand, grasp, and promptly and effectively implement the directives of General Secretary To Lam at the recent ceremony commemorating the 80th anniversary of the education sector's tradition and the opening of the 2025-2026 school year, emphasizing that "education must truly be considered a top national priority, a key driving force for national development and the future of the nation."

The Academy needs to drastically innovate its thinking, methods, and management in the training and development of cadres; provide close leadership and guidance, and organize implementation decisively and effectively; shift from "corrective" reform to a "constructive" mindset; and use quality and effectiveness as the benchmark.

It must be recognized that learning is not only a personal need, but first and foremost a political responsibility, a regular, daily revolutionary action of every cadre, lecturer, and student.

In addition, the academy continues to play a core role in managing the development of programs, content, and regulations for political theory training, ensuring uniformity and improving quality throughout the entire system.

Proactively develop programs and organize training courses based on job positions, including courses for grassroots-level leaders and managers (communes, wards, special zones); fundamentally and comprehensively reform the content, programs, and methods of training and developing leaders and managers.

The programs must be standardized, modernized, and regularly updated to reflect the strategic directions and new policies of the Central Government.

To effectively fulfill the assigned requirements and tasks, the Standing Committee of the Party Central Committee noted that the academy needs to focus on building a team of cadres and lecturers who possess both high knowledge and professional qualifications, as well as high moral standards and a desire to contribute; the cadres and lecturers must be shining examples and a source of inspiration for the students.

Every officer and lecturer must truly set an exemplary example in terms of political qualities and revolutionary ethics, while also being standardized in professional qualifications, possessing courage, intelligence, a deep understanding of practical realities and international integration, and constantly learning and innovating.

We are determined to innovate in training and professional development; to be pioneers in digital transformation; and to actively participate in contributing to the development and improvement of the Party and State's policies and guidelines.

Organized four training courses to enhance the knowledge of officials involved in the planning process for members of the 14th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Previously, the Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, Nguyen Xuan Thang, stated that in the 2024-2025 academic year, along with the urgent and comprehensive implementation of Decision 214 of the Politburo on the functions, tasks, and organizational structure, the academy has proactively and actively adjusted its training and development of cadres to suit the two-tiered local government model.

To implement uniformly and synchronously the regulations and rules, and to concretize the new guidelines and policies in the training and development of cadres of the Party and the State.

Actively implementing the project to innovate the content of training programs for leaders and managers, developing and perfecting many new training and development programs to meet the urgent requirements of practice.

During the past academic year, the academy organized four training courses for prospective members of the 14th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam; and chaired the national conference on training and development of cadres, civil servants, and public employees.
